I could have sworn you'd done all these already. What am I thinking of?

About 3/4 done, and I really will get back to these, honest -- just not today.

Meanwhile, I'd like to know how y'all interpret this emotie:  XD (code X D).

I see the face as wincing (squeezing its eyes shut and gritting its teeth).  The internet seems to disagree, saying that it's laughing so hard that its eyes are squinched shut -- but their face isn't showing its teeth, so the effect is different.

So how do you guys interpret and use this emotie?

I've always had the 2nd interpretation ... grinning so hugely that the eyes squeeze shut. Usually because you just got one over on someone else. To me, it's similar in tone to this: :P I.e., it's a bit bratty.

Actually that's interpretation number three -- grinning rather than laughing, which explains the teeth.

I use it quite a lot, normally it's an expression of mischievous behaviour, or when I make fun of something or someone, or when I'm up to no good..

I think it's naughty grin but with no serious harm intended except psychological terror XD.

See? See what I did?

Bahahahahahahahahhahahahhahah

Are there emoticons for:

Jeremy Brett or any other Holmes actor

Frankenstein

Dracula

?

You mean like . .

:brett:

:evilmoff: ---> Couldn't find a Dracula, but this is Evil Moffat, the Undead & Self-Aggrandizing.  Will that do?

I could have sworn I saw a Rathbone icon but I must have been dreaming.

Cheers Arcadia. Like the Spock.

I’m going to try a couple of names at random and to see if there’s an emoticon

:Gandalf:

Thanks again Tim. I should have remembered you’re name as I was talking to Carol or Arcadia the other day about the Forum ( just being inquisitive about who runs it etc and one of them mentioned your name.)

For anyone who's still wondering what those codes are:

:rathbone:   is

:rathbone:

:brett: is

:brett:

:llap: is

:llap:

(where "llap" stands for "live long and prosper"),

and I think all the others have already been covered a ways back in this thread.

Isn’t there a Kirk? I know......we’re in danger of producing an enormous list of ‘wants’ here. If we get to Yeoman Rand then we know that we’ve gone over the top

There's a Picard but I haven't logged into the forum via my computer in ages so don't remember if there is a Kirk.
