	<br />
	Hey there!
</p>

<p>
	You can call me Lancaster! Or, Lanx, if you're feeling a bit lazy.
</p>

<p>
	I'm a thirty-two year old dork who lives in Pennsylvania with one of my partners and our three cats. (We've also got a millipede. His name is Simon. He's a very good boy.) I have an alarming number of hobbies and interests, but I'm primarily into Sherlock, Doctor Who, Iron Lung (2026), casual gaming, writing, drawing, and I've recently taken up the acoustic guitar and lockpicking. I'm also planning to start my journey into urban exploration in the near future!
</p>

<p>
	I'm a bit shy, but I like to think I'm pretty chill. Feel free to say hello, though I may struggle in one-on-one conversations at times. I never know how to keep them going, hah. It may be worth noting that I am autistic and that sometimes affects how I interact with others, and how frequently I do so. But, well... Sherlock fans in particular have always struck me as far more likely to be understanding of someone who's a bit odd. At least, compared to some other communities. (I mean, Sherlock is the way he is, and for better or worse, many of us are quite fond of that little goblin, right?)
</p>

<p>
	I'm also an amateur fanfiction writer. (And I've got to say, writing stories for a fandom from a show that has concluded and that seems to consist of roughly ~100 people and a single potted plant that sits in the corner... can be quite an interesting experience. Wouldn't trade it for the world.)
</p>

<p>
	I don't know how active I will be (life is life-ing and I am notoriously scatterbrained) but I'm happy to poke my head in and say hello all the same!
</p>

<p>
	Lovely to meet you all. And have a happy Thursday, if you celebrate! <span class="ipsEmoji">🥳</span>
</p>

	I am a recent convert to Sherlock Holmes after falling in love with the 1954 Ronald Howard series. I also love Charlie Chan, Mr. Wong and Mr. Moto. Looking forward to learning more.

	Well, I bet you never thought you'd see me back here - and certainly not like this. <span class="ipsEmoji">🤭</span> It's been a very long while, and when you last saw me; I had a different face.
</p>

<p>
	But now, after all this time, I humbly (and properly) present to you: the person <em>behind</em> the screen of CSIBakerStreet.
</p>

<p>
	You'll find I've changed a very great deal, that's the main reason to make a new and different account now. But also I'm not quite sure I can get back into the old even if I wanted to, so here we are. I've not forgotten this wonderful place or the fun I had, and by the way I never did thank you for putting up with my silliness and very intense obsession at the time ahahaha - so if you did, thank you so much. Hopefully I'll get to know many of you again, and to those I've never met to be able to make new friends!

	Hello everyone, my name is Sophie. I became a Sherlock fan relatively recently, when my English teacher showed the class two episodes of Sherlock, one before Christmas and one before the summer holidays. She first showed us A Study In Pink and I watched The Blind Banker soon after, but with Christmas I forgot. However, she showed us The Hounds of Baskerville and the next day I went on music tour. Spending 25+ hours on a coach combined over five days, and we were allowed our phones. I finished Sherlock within 3 or 4 days and on the way back rewatched up to The Hounds of Baskerville with a friend (well more like 4-5 of them). And the obsession fully started. After we'd watched the series, the class group chat became Sherlock related for a day, but I was the only one continuing and did get teased over that. (People were shipping me with Sherlock, and I'm aromantic so that's a problem etc.) But this didn't stop me and now I check the news every day for news of Series 5, I listen to conspiracies (not part of them, just find it interesting) and read probably too much fanfiction. I also write some. I have had obsessions in the past, and it is true that I can catergorise my life by obsessions - Harry Potter from the age of 7 to 10, Minecraft and HP from 10 to 13 and Sherlock currently. And I know 3 people who also watch, and they like it too, but idk if they are obsessed to the same level as I am. I DRINK COFFEE LIKE SHERLOCK for goodness sake! And I pretty much breathe oxygen and Sherlock at this point. I rewatch episodes to the point of insanity, I can quote whole scenes, and then I realise it's only been EIGHT TO NINE WEEKS since I got into the fandom. It genuinely feels like years. I wish I had known about Sherlock sooner (I am only 13) and my mum just casually mentioned that she used to watch it when she knows that's the sort of content I love but oh well. I dream of Series 5, I dream of Johnlock and I want to know that more people who love Sherlock still exist.
</p>

	Please talk to me now if convenient. If not convenient, talk to me anyway. And yes, it could be dangerous. I am very passionate about my fandoms.

	Hey everyone <img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" src="https://sherlock.kelticbanshee.info/forum/uploads/emoticons/smiley2.png" title=":)" /> I am design student at Goldsmiths. We have been given Sherlock Holmes as a character for a brief. We had make a carbon copy of objects we were given. The second part of the brief is to enact a character as a 'fan' . it is my belief he wouldn't be a fan and wouldn't turn up to a game of baseball unless it was for a case. Is it okay to ask your options on the matter? <a href="https://bad-baseball.herokuapp.com" rel="external nofollow">https://bad-baseball.herokuapp.com</a>

I am diagnosed with autism and the character of Sherlock has helped me find a lot of comfort in it.

	I don't have an idea how people do a 'normal' introduction on these sites; I'm going to do it my way.
</p>

<p>
	The name's ND(my name will be public once I officially start my work as a consulting detective). thinking is what I enjoy the most in this tedious, dull world. Currently on the path of becoming a consulting detective, and I run a website: <a href="https://deducter.tumblr.com/" rel="external nofollow">https://deducter.tumblr.com/</a>
</p>

<p>
	My other interests are mentioned in my profile, so, no, I'm not going to mention them here once more (that would be boring, obviously).
</p>

<p>
	Go on and submit a case on my forum: <a href="https://deducter.freeforums.net/" rel="external nofollow">https://deducter.freeforums.net/</a>
</p>

<p>
	 I'm eagerly waiting for a case, riddle, anything! (don't be boring though)

<p>
	Laters!

<p>It'd be fun to hear the stories behind the user names on this forum. (I'm curious about a few of the pronunciations, too!) Even if your name is clearly a <em>Sherlock</em> reference, it'd be interesting to hear how you happened to choose it.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Likewise with the avatar pictures -- in some cases, what the heck is it, and in others, how did you come to choose it?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
P.S. to the Admins: Since this thread is somewhat analogous to "How Did You Find Us?", I thought this forum would be the best place for it -- but on the other hand, this thread isn't at all analogous to the individual introductions that constitute the bulk of this forum. Am I overlooking a more appropriate locale?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>
Perhaps it would make sense to keep just "Hello Everybody And Welcome!" and the individual introductions in this forum -- and then put this thread and "How Did You Find Us?" into a new forum, where people could add other similar threads. (Failing that, or for the time being, maybe you could just pin this thread.) Thanks!</p>

	Hello, I'm Chronologist, I'm a 49 year old male American, born in Michigan, moved to Georgia a few years ago. I've always been alternating between casual/major fan of Sherlock Holmes. Recently I reread all 60 stories and decided to come up with my own little Chronology list of when these stories all took place. I came on here to post it. Hope you all like it, even if you don't agree.

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;">Ha ha! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less known is "<strong>never click on clickbait when death is on the line!</strong>" </span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;">Death might be a little extreme. Pride? I've always felt a little chagrined when I click on one of those ridiculous "news" articles that very clearly hooked me with the internet equivalent of a PT Barnum peanut pitch. "never click on clickbait when pride is on the line" just doesn't have the same effect does it? </span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Now for the promised introduction</strong> - which I suppose makes me better than clickbait since those blasted things rarely deliver on their promises.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;">Hello! Longtime Holmesian, first time poster. I started reading Sherlock Holmes stories when I was about 9 - after I saw some of the Granada series on PBS. For me, few mystery stories can compete with those told by Dr. Watson. (<em><s>I'm not a Doyalist; besides, who doesn't love the Great Game?</s></em>) After finishing all of the original stories, I started to work my way through many of the pastiches and homages published over the years. Most recently, I found the <em>Cthulhu Casebooks</em> by James Lovegrove which tell three Sherlock stories through a Lovecraftian lens. I'm also a fan of several police procedural shows <span class="ipsEmoji">🍍</span>. </span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;">Beyond Sherlock Holmes, I'm an avid science fiction fan (film, tv, and print) as well as the genre of good-bad movies that is as hard to quantify as they sometimes are to watch.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;">IRL I work in a children's library and read storytime to infants and toddlers - well, I did before COVID. Now, I mostly clean and sanitize things. </span>
</p>

<p>
	Hi all, it’s been a while. I hope that everyone is well?
</p>

<p>
	Without going deeply into a tale of woe and anguish I haven't  posted for ages because I had a burglary and my iPad, phone and some other stuff was stolen; a family member was seriously ill ( on the mend now I think) and then a house fire. I must have done something in a previous life!
</p>

<p>
	The good news is that I’ll be getting my iPad and phone back soon (although the phone is damaged) I’m using another phone. I’d have logged in a couple of weeks ago but I just couldn’t recall my password until I realised it was the same one I used elsewhere.
</p>

<p>
	It will take me a while to look around and catch up but I hope that everyone is happy and well?
