  1. Well it's more comedy than a game it's just because I made the video in the OP and though it would be a bit of a laugh. But if you like think if increasingly bizarre way Holmes would relax. No, no, no. I wasn't asking how this (post) is a game... but how is the computer/video game? Oh right, well it's OK, there's a decent amount of atmosphere and the puzzles aren't obtuse enough to stop progress but there are some very unSherlock moments in it that may have you facepalming. I'm not sure that Holmes and Lovecraft are a good mix so separate they are in the worlds they inhabit, Holmes in the rational and Lovecraft in the metaphysical. You can look at my Let's Play of it and see what you think.

  3. I suppose he should have been named Houses instead of House ;) A couple of things used to annoy me about House, one of the biggest was the fact that he would often explain quite simple principals to other doctors. Now this worked with Holmes because while Holmes found them simple the art of deduction was still in its infancy so there was a need to explain. With House he is explaining medical concepts to people who would have known this stuff back to front already but of course you need to explain it to the viewers. Now you have a series called 'Backstrom' about a brilliant detective who can't seem to get along with people now doesn't that sound familiar.
  4. Yes I have been a bit lax about posting here so I thought I'd drop in just so you know I'm alive
  5. Now we all know he likes his 7% solution, but are there other ways the great detective likes to relax? After playing through Sherlock Holmes - The Awakened I think I found one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5ojuV90RU8 Does anyone else think they know how Holmes likes to relax?
  6. Hello! I thought I had uploaded and posted this but found that I hadn't, it's the last part to the playthrough! Here it is with a dancing Holmes, a chase scene and parts that are decidedly unfair to poor Dr. Watson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ff43bFdFOQ&feature=youtu.be And the documents!
  7. Thanks, this is the first Let's Play I've ever done and while it could be better its the first time I've had to learn about the process of making one. I'm not sure how many people actually care about it but I'm happy to do it anyway.
  8. If you're gunna watch do read these because they have story and important info in them.
  9. And after a PC meltdown I can do this once again INFO DUMP INCOMING!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnv8CHqsyF4
  10. One thing I always worry about when audio dramas are concerned is that they lend themselves to some overwrought acting. Luckily, apart from some rare parts, these dramas are free of that type of acting.
  11. Yeah I always read it as the Inspector saying something like "We must forgive you your moment of self satisfaction because that was the most dedicated, hard worked investigation I can remember." I think the 'we' might apply to anyone the people in audience with Holmes and the police force.
  12. The graphics are pretty old but expected for the company that makes the game. You can get much better graphics these days for example this is a still from the last Tomb Raider game from 2013 But we march on as Holmes and Watson attempt to find the kidnappers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1E3XO8fB18&feature=youtu.be Documents:
  13. I thinght the Theory of Everything was a very good movie though, as tends to happen with these stories, they mixed up what happened and then added in something for drama I thought it was well written and there were some good performances. Redmayne was excellent in it which made his performance in Jupiter Ascending all the more surprising.
  14. Watson face after hearing Holmes intended to live the rest of his life as a woman.
