After watching Enola Holmes I found it to be fun, charming and very entertaining. Henry Cavill's unusually beefy Sherlock is an interesting change from the typical Sherlock mould. Cavill's Sherlock is more thoughtful and caring than normally portrayed and while interesting to watch he doesn't overshadow the main crux of the film, which is Enola. Millie Bobby Brown carries the film well and while it won't win any awards Enola Holmes is a fun way to spend a couple of hours. It isn't Sherlock Holmes, nor is it meant to be.

We need to talk about online toxicity.

🤔 I'm not sure I'd classify Sir Patrick as a 'pathetic loser'. *I'll get me hat.* -

I watched this episode recently and now I can't get this song out of my head.

Coupling was one of those programmes that if you were there, at the right age, it was very good. And, of course, Sarah Alexander.
-
I've been watching a few old favourites. Sherlock fans will certainly know about Coupling. Showing its age a bit but still quite amusing. Started Gerry Anderson's UFO again. This show was way ahead of its time on many forms. I may watch Space: 1999 after I finish UFO.

Perhaps it has something to do with the google google paradox?

You put a space after the exclamation point.

When using ddg, if you want to search google put g! before your search term and you will get a google search.

That sort of behaviour is unacceptable. I would alter my previous statement to forgive her and move the hell on. Who needs that sort of aggro? -

Sounds as if she was just attention seeking and you gave her the kind of attention she didn't want or expect. You did the right thing. That said, I would forgive her for your own sake, but limit interactions with her for a good long time. Be polite, but keep her at arms-length. -

I have a sister and they're not everything they're made out to be. -

I know what you mean. I was trying to lose a stone when all this happened, now I'm just trying not to put on a stone. Or two. -

I know how you feel. Anything over 25 and I get uncomfortable, over 30 and I'm miserable. -

Those are some strange shaped Jammy Dodgers, but I bet they taste good. -
I watched Red Dwarf: The Promised Land last night. If you are at all familiar with the show you will know that the crew is a rather scruffy lot that bumble their way through life. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a lot of fun that will bear many viewings. Even if you've never seen Red Dwarf before you could watch this special without needing to rely on its past.

A pizza place that doesn't deliver had better serve outstanding pizza. Picking up a pizza that isn't worth the effort is maddening. -
It's a fantasy novel aimed at kids 8 - 12. It starts out fairly light but moves into some darker, scarier scenes. It's difficult not to take it too far. Think a cross between The Graveyard Book and Oliver Twist but set in modern times.

I'm doing the same thing. I'm about 18,000 words or so from finishing a children's book I've been working on for a little over a year. I'll finish the first draft, set it aside for a couple of weeks and then go through the next draft. I hope to have it published before the end of the year. I'm also working on an urban-fantasy-horror novel aimed at adults. I'm writing this into notebooks rather than on my computer. At least it's keeping me busy even if nothing comes of it.

Is that the one about life after a nuclear war? I watched it again a few years ago and I agree that it didn't age well. Thematically it's fine but the general acting level is not up to much. I do remember seeing it in the 80s when we were still under the threat of nuclear war and it was scary then. Deathgasm. A horror/comedy film from New Zealand. A teenage metal band finds a song that will open a portal to Hell and summons demons. Fairly low budget effects and a young unknown cast, but that's part of the charm. It was mildly humorous and not even a little scary but the combination was enough to propel the film along. Something you'll watch once and never again. Still, I applaud their effort.

I don't see any watermark and I don't have a photo bucket account. To get around paying for photo hosting you could set up a free wordpress blog. Multiple ones if you need to. I think you get 5 gigs of storage and put all your photos there. All linkable and no watermarking.
