  1. An article I read, which I can't find now. But there is this one: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a39194535/prince-charles-king-coronation-timing/
  2. Is anyone familiar with The Chosen's Quintus (played by Brandon Potter)? If I had only heard the voice, I would have sworn it was John DeLancie. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a relation.
  3. When I get texts from my pharmacy they come from a five or six-digit number, and the verification codes from my bank come from a five-digit number. And yes, I've seen some of those ads, now that you've reminded me. This sort of thing isn't available for real people, though, is it?
  4. Yay! My fever broke! Also decided to change my avatar - yep, that's me, first grade. I was adorable, then went downhill from there. Oh well.
  5. It was Pfizer. I've found the only place I feel okay is in bed under the electric blanket with a cold pack on my head (oh yeah, I also have a headache.) I do hope I feel better by tomorrow afternoon. Getting a badly needed haircut at 2:30. So glad you're getting those! It's awesome how available it is now for people who want them. I don't understand those who don't. Oh, about that first thing - never fear - I'M ALWAYS LURKING! (Seriously!)
  6. I had my second dose yesterday. Today I have a fever and chills. (Fortunately, I have nothing to do today.) No effects from the first dose. I've heard it was pretty much that way with seniors (I'm 66.)
  7. I see. My condo isn't large (about 1200 sq. ft.) and my computer is centrally located and very convenient. It's pretty much whatever works for the individual, isn't it?
  8. Regarding the advantage of a desktop over a laptop (for me, anyway): (1) larger monitor [I have a 21 inch], (2) I could never get the hang of the mousepad on a laptop [I like a regular mouse], (3) a regular keyboard is much more comfortable over a laptop keyboard, (4) I don't need portability. Any need I would have for a computer can darn well wait until I get home. I don't want to be tethered to a gadget. There are probably more, but that's it off the top of my head.
  9. I'm also on board with that. I'm 67. The only computer I have (or want) is a desktop at home, no laptop. I have a landline (yep!) and a cell phone, but it's a flip-phone (i.e. stupidphone), and believe it or not, I like it. I don't want or need a smartphone. I agree WordPerfect was wonderful, until I got the hang of Word. Word took the "coding" out of my hands and all I had to do is literally say what I wanted. Hmm, was that good or bad?
  10. Yep. I usually prefer dark, but when it's covering pretzels, I like the milk.
