So, we originally thought that Sherlock had to fake his own death because otherwise Moriarty's snipers would kill John and all of Sherlock's friends, correct? If you could give a short explanation how the whole "i'll kill your friends" sceneario, that would be awesome.

Sherlock Series 3 has not been scheduled for broadcast yet, however, the DVD sets may be preordered from Amazon in the United States via this link: http://www.amazon.com/Sherlock-Season-Three-Benedict-Cumberbatch/dp/B00E3UN44W/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3B9Z6RAJ8CNAV&coliid=I3HMKEY99LVSA6 and the United Kingdom via this link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DRDCIA2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Carol and I have already preordered the DVDs from Amazon UK because they will be available first and we have a region-free DVD Player (also note that most PCs with DVD players have the capability to set the DVD player to any region, but commercial DVD players typically only will play the region that the country that sold it is in). The UK DVDs will likely be shipped shortly after episode 3 has aired on BBC One. The U.S. release won't be available until after Series 3 is aired on PBS, which will likely happen well after Series 3 has aired in the UK. -
Sad news folks, Entertainment Weekly are reporting that series 3 filming is to be delayed until March, meaning that our favourite detective may not return to our screens until late 2013, possibly even early 2014. Grave news indeed if it proves to be accurate.
