Posting pictures

Don't know if this is anything that important, but....I used to be able to post pictures quite easily but now when ever I try I get a highlighted notice telling me that I'm not allowed to post picture extensions to this site.  And some of these are from my own downloads. Is there a fix for this?

I've had this occur too from time to time - the site then refuses to accept .jpg for no reason I could so far discern. Will try to remember the exact circumstances next time it happens.

I've checked all the image posting settings, and they all seem fine. I wonder if it may be that the images are too large?

I sometimes have that sort of problem, and I think it may have something to do with it not being a "plain" jpg -- it's got extra specifications of some sort.  Next time I come across one of these, I'll post the URL here.

 

Thanks for starting this thread, Fox!  Maybe now we can all find out what's going on.

 

Added:  Sometimes, if I copy the photo to my computer and then to my Photobucket account, that fixes the problem.  Still no idea why.  Tim -- I realize I'm talking about a problem with hotlinking in this case, but I assume it's fair to hotlink to commercial sites when "advertising" their products, and that sort of thing.

Had a problem posting pictures today - don't whether it's the computer I'm using or whether the Sherlock system is down..... :-(

I cannot display any pictures - when I try to put the URL into the picture url, it just stops......also I cannot change font or colour anything :-(

 

I've changed from Windows to Chrome and get get colour - I'll try putting some pics on now - fingers crossed!!!

 

 

It's worked!! I can now post pics
