HELLLPPPP! (aka Sherlockology calendar anagram help)

Recommended Posts

OK, I know I'm totally cheating but I am RUBBISH at this!!

www.sherlockology.com have a 2014 Calendar to download but to get it you need to solve the anagrams. I am so totally hopeless with these! Anyone know the answer to this month's? I got last month's easily enough because it was 2 words but this month's is practically a sentence! My poor, ordinary brain

Maybe I'm just not awake today, mangopony, but I can't seem to find this year's calendar -- just last year's.  Could you post a direct link to that page?  Thanks!

Hi, new here, not even sure I can figure out how to do this, :-) but .... I solved the "easy" ones. Clues: first one is a "hashtag" (I think that's what it's called) and it was all over the screen at one point in TEH. The 2nd one is someone's FULL name.

Been reading and enjoying many of the discussions, just wish I'd found this sooner when most of the discussion was taking place. But fun anyway.

Going to try to put the actual answers in a spoiler box, if I can figure it out:

1st one: Sherlock Lives
2nd: Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch (and that just broke my fingers :-)

Hello, Arcadia -- welcome to Sherlock Forum!  :welcome:  Thanks for helping us all get the February wallpaper!

Been reading and enjoying many of the discussions, just wish I'd found this sooner when most of the discussion was taking place. But fun anyway.

There's no such thing as too late!  Please feel free to add your two cents' worth at any time.  A new comment will often revive a dormant discussion, which is fun for all of us.

Hello Arcadia and welcome to the forum!

Wow, you're good. I tried that February "easy" one, gave up in frustration (the lack of "s" killed all my theories) and decided not even to look at the hard one after that .

Thank you Arcadia!

I knew that

Benedict Cumberbatch

had to be part of it but forgot about

his middle names

Look at the brain on Arcadia!  Color me amazed!  I'm gonna get back to it with your clues... I haven't been spoiler box diving.... yet.

I've never seen this before...  Did anyone else laugh out loud when you guessed incorrectly?

Ruthy did make that up or is that the wallpaper? Absolutely brilliant!  :lol2:   Thanks so much for sharing!  -couldn't have that wallpaper up or my husband wouldn't know what to do with me!

Hi all, thanks for the welcomes. And don't be too impressed, it took me several tries to work out the second one. :-) The lack of "s's" really had me stumped for awhile too!

I think it would be useful to continue to have this thread helping people out - I gave up on some of them last year as I just couldn't get my brain to work any more - so everyone can benefit from having the calendars.

I find desktop calendars really useful, if I can't get the Sherlock ones I download from http://www.yktravelphoto.com/wallpapers/

I think keeping this thread open is a great idea because no doubt I will be totally stumped again with the March one and will need Arcadia's (and everyone else's) awesome anagrammatical skills!

Because your wish is my command, here's a clue to the March anagram:

It's another FULL name.

And if you just wanna know the answer:

Martin John Christoper Freeman

I bet it's well worth solving -- their January through March pictures are outstanding!

But damn -- they're no longer showing a muddled version of the photo?  That was sometimes helpful.

I've gotten out the Scrabble set, so that I can physically move the letters around, but no luck so far (unless you're willing to count GROWL CAIRNS BLANKET).

The pic shows Sherlock and John on that bench (where they were talking about Sholto) if that helps.

Don't ask me about the hard one, though .

Well, that was humbling. Thanks Caya, there was no way I was ever getting the "easy" one! The other, I don't even know where to start.
