General Series 3 Locations

Recommended Posts

The "On Location" forum has one subforum for each of the Series announced so far. If you want to discuss a particular location just in general, we recommend you do it in the subforum for the Series when that location was first used.

You can post on this thread for general discussions or brief comments about locations used in Series 3, or you can start a new thread in this ("Series 3 Locations") subforum for a specific topic regarding Series 3 locations.

Sherlockology has posted an article from a British paper saying that London is thinking of opening some of those closed and abandoned Tube stations including the Aldwych or (The Sumatra Road) station.

The map is interactive and it does work.

Interesting:  "Hundreds of disused Tube stations and empty tunnels in the capital could be turned into retail and leisure attractions."

And even more interesting:  "... space behind the Leinster Gardens facade, built into a Bayswater street to hide the Tube lines, would be transformed into gardens and a children’s play park."  Sounds like a good trick, since there's no ground back there -- it's open right down to the tracks.  I assume they're planning to build a floor over the tunnel.
