...when you spot a killer deal for the same Russell Hobbes electric tea kettle used in TRF, and you put your money down as fast as you can and take that thing home!

Someone asked me why I don't have difficulties passing my projects to my boss, I was about to say,"because I know what he likes," but freeze in terror of my own statement.

Why were you freezing in terror because of that?

Those are the same words Irene Adler uses in ASIB a few times and having that pop into your head could be reason for not saying the actual words out loud even if not intended that way. At least that was my thought when I originally read VBS' words.

When you get miffed, peevish and snappish because your ten-year-old is absolutely in love with a Basil Rathbone photo on the cover of two simplified Sherlock Holmes stores in Oxford Bookworms (Red-Headed League and The Three Students), and when they see your screensaver, namely BC, they cry out: "Aww, Mum, NOT that wishy-washy again! " Maybe Herod had a point?

*grins* That makes sense and hilarious at the same time. :D

Thanks Camper. That is exactly what I meant. *Still shudder.

Shadow, shadow, :D :D you have to kick the insanity up a notch. Or two. :p

As we have forcibly concluded, sanity is overrated. :)

Yes, sanity is very much overrated. I lost mine me ages ago and don't miss it.

This one is for those who requested more 'insanity':

Found a 'shipwreck' today aka the dogs had been indulging themselves in my work room. I found myself pointing toward each one of them and saying, "You? You? Or you?!" ala The Bride (TAB). Unfortunately since I used a raw carrot to point at them, they end up sitting neatly at full attention in expectation of having it as a snack. xp

Yay! :cowdance:

The only setback..being nuts is good to repel people, but having that shirt actually encourage people to come up and ask why.

It's perfect if it comes with free taser. :) Have to live up to Tshirt expectation. :p

Okay. But did you point the carrot to your throat and fall backward? Hmm, I guess not.

@VBS: No, I prefer my carrot well-boiled or at least juiced first.

If I would point a carrot at my rabbits...well, they would not be sitting and waiting. :giggle:

:D :D :D

Let me try to put it mildly, nicely and politely: J.P, you are nuts.

But I like that. Insanity loves company. :P

Looks cool, I just would have added a picture of a nut in the background. (if I would have enough knowledge how to create one that is...)

My boss called me "Sherlock Holmes" today. He did not mean it as a compliment. But I still couldn't help grinning all day long...

Hey, that was a compliment -- whether your boss realized it or not!

When you're listening to Beethoven's 3rd symphony while writing your non-Sherlock novel, pause too long and hear bad violin playing because of the app you're using & the first thing that comes to mind is Sherlock purposely playing badly to annoy Mycroft.

When you find deep satisfaction in replacing your stolen coat because hey, you're a Sherlock fan and that means you just aren't complete without a coat. (I bought my old one because it looked like something Mary might wear. The new coat is more Molly style. I think. It has frills. :-D)

Went to book store, spent ten minutes looking for Sherlock in Non-Fiction section.

Nothing weird, right?

Depends on what you were looking for. ACD's stories or stories about ACD.

There is also nothing weird that I know exactly what you are referring.

Also, of course, another perfectly normal scenario... I entered a secluded lift lobby, it was late, almost midnight, and two men were chatting. As I entered, one of them was saying,"stranger things had happened." Instead of being worried I was screaming internally "SUCH AS?!?" and couldn't keep straight face trying to suppress a grin throughout the lift ride.

When you have 8 Sherlock-themed pillow covers  that need pillows but your budget doesn't allow for all 8 at once but only two and you have to choose... Okay, I chose.  I'll do 2 more next month.

I agree. I would love to see pictures.

And I am glad I am not the only person in the world who has no sofa :sofa: ...but there's still a bit of space in my bed  - and I love pillows. I have a couple of rabbit pillows (the non-furry ones ;) ), but no Sherlock pillow (yet).

Let me get a few more of them done so that you can see the full effect.
