There's a Spock because he's super-logical (and reportedly Sherlock Holmes's great-great-great-etc.-grandson).  There's a Picard because he does a world-class face-palm.  Just a coincidence they're both from the Trekverse.  (Though I wouldn't mind a Horta.)
