Investigation And Courtroom Films

I really like big screen versions of fact-based and fictional investigation/courtroom films.

 

My favourite military courtroom film is the tv adaption of 'The Caine Mutiny Court Martial', made in 1988 and starring Jeff Daniels and Brad Davis.

 

My favourite investigative reporter film is 'All The President's Men'

 

My favourite lawyer film is difficult, but I do like 'A Civil Action'

 

I am intrigued how they show how facts are uncovered, both data and persons involved.

 

I'd rather these 'thinking' films, than action-packed.

 

There are many others I like, but the above 3 I have watched the most.

I thought A Civil Action was fantastic. Also Erin Brokovich. There's a LOT of good courtroom films, the one that's sticking in my mind at the moment is 12 Angry Men. I think I'll have to agree on All the President's Men too!

Yup, there are a lot of good ones.  I have very fond memories of Inherit the Wind, though it's been ages since I saw it.  Oh, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Oh yes, both of those. To Kill a Mockingbird is on my top ten list, how could I forget that. Both the book and the movie.
