Maybe, possibly, you'll have to check for yourself as I'm not telling :evilinside: ;)

Here is both a video of the trailer and an article about it (for those not in a position to watch a video).

Of course the boxer won.  I mean, duh!  But then the next two are a virtual tie between Martin Freeman and a guy who's far taller and far heavier.  MF is in really good shape!

Well, he had a long history of punching Sherlock. Benedict… Stuntmen… Ahm… whatever

Hey guys, just watched it - you're not missing anything really. That boxing part is at the end of the show and he comes on briefly before it and just talks a little bit about Labour of Love and being a labour supporter.

Yes, there seems to be a ban on talking about Sherlock. :(

I'm starting to wonder if he and BC were not overly impressed with the storylines of the last series either.

Yes, that is what I am wondering also. Maybe not the storylines, exactly ... Martin at least seemed fairly enthusiastic about them before the episodes aired ... but the way they turned out and the response to them ....

I've wondered that since LB admitted she hasnt seen TFP.

For MF and BC it could just be they are more interested in supporting/promoting their current projects than wanting to distance themselves from Sherlock.

I think when you're on a press junket/promo tour for something you're obliged not to talk about past projects that are not currently paying your bill.

At the same time, they can't tell just by reading the script how it's going to be edited together and the mood set by cinematography etc, I know Martin gave a similar quote about his relationship to Sherlock in the TLD behind the scenes video, but they were still filming it at that point. Thing is, the series is (maybe) done and dusted, there's no reason to talk about it when there are other things they are working on. Plus I doubt they (BC and MF) want to answer a seemingly simple Sherlock question and then risk getting drawn into a debate about how poorly it was received. They didn't write it, they don't deserve the criticism. I just wish Gatiss and Moffat would take some responsibility, and at least admit that perhaps they could have done things better. Admittedly I haven't read the thread from the con because the brief parts I saw on Tumblr (whilst wading through the rage and disdain) really put me off to the point that I decided I'd just rather not know.

I don't really know why MF was on Graham Norton, Labour of Love doesn't open for months yet, he pretty much just popped in really late and didn't have much to talk about. I'm always relieved when he's on something without being overly acerbic, that show with Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd still makes me cringe when I think about it, and annoyingly it's still not up on Youtube.

If you mean the Twitter post of her directly after it was aired: She was somewhere in the far end of the world (Vietnam?) doing an off-road bike trip, so she probably was not able to see it for technical reasons.

I also wish Mofftiss would not respond to criticism in such defensive manner. People get beeped by their answers, because they try to avoid to give any real answers. Not that they are obliged to confess everything to us, but a different tone would be nice.

No jp she did an interview when promoting a tv show she was starring in about 2 months ago. In that article she sheepishly admitted per the interviewer that she hadn't seen it. I think it was in radio times and in the article they asked her about what moffat said in EW and how he writes women. Don't know when the interview took place but far enough removed from the episode airing that she was sheepish about not seeing it.

Isn't it Una Stubbs who says she never watches anything she's in?  Maybe Louise Brealey has picked up that habit from her?

Here's the article. I don't get the impression from her quote that it's a general philosophy. It was an older article than I thought though. Published in March so she may have watched it since.

Louise Brealey hasn’t watched the final episode of Sherlock. The actress, who plays forensic pathologist Molly Hooper in the BBC series, admits this in hushed tones, as if she can’t quite believe it herself. “I haven’t seen it,” she whispers guilty. “I haven’t seen it! I don’t know why."

She was cycling across Cambodia when the episode aired ....

So she couldn't have watched it when she normally would have, and by the time she got back from Cambodia and rested up and caught up with what she needed to be doing -- well, it wouldn't exactly have been a priority, would it?  I mean, she could watch it any time, so no rush -- and there's always something that *is* a rush....

Note that the loaded words ("admits," "hushed," "as if...," "guilty") are all from the author, *not* from Brealey.

So I wouldn't necessarily read too much into it.

I didn't realize that, but it makes sense. But at the same time, I have the impression they used to be a lot more open to talking about the show. I don't read that much into it, it just makes me wonder. Besides, I kind of miss them.

I think a lot of actors don't like to watch themselves on screen. Probably all they can see are their "mistakes"; artists of all kinds tend to be their own worst critics...

I would have posted the same guess, if you hadn't.  I doubt that they're actually forbidden to talk about other things, but both the actor and the talk-show host are well aware of why they're there.

I indicated the sheepish description came from the journalist but she was also quoted as saying "i don't know why". I don't know anything about the journalist to know if I should mistrust her descriptions or not but what I remember about the article was LB not finding time to watch TFP and finding it interesting. I mean she didn't use being too busy or on vacation as an excuse. She also could have easilly seen it since. Dunno.

Yes, I doubt it's as official as being forbidden, but for press junkets etc I'm guessing they are being paid by the studio to be there and contracted to big up their latest film, and journalists know that's all they are there to talk about.

I wonder how bored they get by journalists coming in with their latest 'wacky' interview technique - ie, getting them to do something stupid. I'm guessing once upon a time it would have broken up the monotony, but now, with so many coming up with stupid ideas it must be hard not to roll your eyes. Especially MF since he comes across as somewhat less friendly than BC.

Hmmm, I would've said more business-like, less effusive. Not sure that friendly per se is even relevant, since it's not a social event.

Other than that, I agree with you.

Perhaps friendly is the wrong word, approachable perhaps. I think I'd find him more intimidating than BC. Though with BC I would probably start stammering, so there's that. ;)

Same same. I think I'd be more generally at ease around Martin, except I'd be wary of being the target of his humor, which I find rather sharp at times. Ben's more cuddly, but I'd be absolutely tongue-tied and tripping all over myself around him, because that's what happens to me when I find a man attractive. :( Dang it.
