The story can be taken on so many levels.

It's not really just horror.

It's about trust and loyalty etc...

Oh, I'm sure. It's just not to my taste, is all. Like some people feel about, say, science fiction.

Yeah, something else I don't get!

Love me some science fiction.

I mean it actually quite concerns me that people enjoy horror...I also think those who obsess about crime fiction.

I find it all a bit unnerving!

Tho to be honest, I feel the same about porn!

Yeah, someone being obsessed with porn would definitely unnerve me. Ugh, shuddering just to think of it.....

Just curious -- I assume y'all are talking about men's porn?  How do you feel about women's porn, AKA "romance" novels of the bodice-ripper sort?

And Arcadia, have you seen Young Frankenstein?

I have Young Frankenstein on my shelf, waiting to be watched.

God I can't stand bodice rippers either...

But hang on: what do you mean?

I mean the 'mens/womens' porn thing...
oh you think men like hard core sex and women fantasy romance?

I can't stand either...

But then that may tell you everything you need to know about me!

They both creep me out. Ughh.

And yes I have, one of my favorite comedies. (Puttin' on the riiiiiiiiitzzz!) Although I could completely do without Madeline Kahn's character, uggh again.

We were recently watching some show where they were singing "Puttin' on the Ritz" -- and every time they got to a spot where Peter Boyle had a line in Young Frankenstein, I'd burst out laughing.  He has totally ruined it for me as a serious song.  *snicker*

Couldn’t Frankenstein be considered science fiction?  In fact I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that it’s considered one of the first science fiction stories ever written.

Neither is my favorite genre, but I do enjoy the mystery aspect of both.

I don't see why it couldn't.  (And so much for the idea that early science fiction was all written by men!)

It strikes me more as synthetic news -- a conglomeration of comments about the show so far, snippets of old interviews, extrapolation, and hopeful thinking.  Lot of that going around these days, due to the scarcity of new news.  But who knows, it may turn out to have been some good guesses.

Basically it is total rubbish.

And believe me, that's the polite version...

I know our gentle duck friend doesn't like my profanity!

"After completing all of its major projects, Sherlock Season 5 will be launched in 2022 as soon as possible, given its calendar shortly."

It's not even comprehensible, let alone true. :D

It’s a string of words basically Arcadia. There’s no need for such vagueness. I tend to think that a series 5 will happen but I’m not basing that on any knowledge ( how very un-Holmes like of me☹️) Lets hope that Moftiss don’t get too Doyle-like and start seeing their creation as a burden that they want to distance themselves from. I wouldn’t have thought so.

Well some of the fandom haven't helped in the last part...

Basically, unless one  hears/reads/watches an interview with either Mark or Steven...ignore ALL stories about any more possible Sherlock.

Still don't know their schedules, but I know Benedict and Martin will be full to bursting for a long time to come.

Oh, for sure.  But they certainly don't have the rest of their lives mapped out.  From what I've read about various projects, they sign up for something (on average) a year or so before filming starts.  So next time Moftiss gets enthusiastic about Sherlock, Hartswood needs to find out what everybody's schedules look like, and sign 'em up for the first stretch when just about everyone's available -- giving the writers just about the right amount of time to work out the plot details and write the scripts (except for the one that Mr. Moffat is doing on his own, which will of course not be finished till the very last minute).

I still feel everybody keeps getting tempted by other projects...which is fair enough.
