Thanks, I think I amazed even myself this time! :lol5:

(And before anyone else has a chance to say it -- if that doesn't sound too hard, you're right, it's not .... :P )

Still not liking The Hair. He looks so ... ordinary ...

At least we know Molly is in it. Unless her scenes got cut. Mycroft we never saw during filming. Was I the only one that thought that was Molly's voice at the end? Because apparently it's not per Loo.

I'm not convinced on the hair either. Maybe that's why they have given Watson the moustache, so comparatively he still looks as good?

But it looks so amazing, in general, the setting, the costumes....

Yes and I think on that live tweet of women in Sherlock, both LB and AA said the special was their favourite experience shooting so far.  And I also thought that was her! But wasn't sure. The alternative is that her parts are too good to share?

Just in case people want to watch it first, J.P.

I didn't see Mycroft or Molly? But Mary seems to be in it a lot?

They may not have been in the trailer, but they are in the special.

"Nothing made me. I made me." Soooo freakin' cool!

But definitely not our Sherlock. Is Mycroft in it?

I have heard those lines echo lines of Hannibal Lecter in "Silence of the Lambs."

Maybe that's compliments of Gatiss, the horror aficionado?

So anyone want to speculate who that lady is towards the beginning?  Who is she talking about?

That scene with all the pointy things -- did they by any chance

borrow the KKK from "Five Orange Pips" after all?  Guess the time change would fix their main objection to using that plot (namely that it wouldn't seem realistic that people nowadays would fail to recognize the abbreviation "KKK").

Or are those some other perfectly recognizable pointy things that I managed not to recognize?

Took me a few viewings to spot that (even after reading your post).  In case anyone else is still looking, it's at the far right in the very first scene.

OK, I give.  When is that shown?

I've just been through in full-screen double-click mode (click-play immediately followed by click-pause, short delay for observation, then repeat), and it would appear that there are at least

two bodies -- one dressed in white lace and one in a black suit over a white shirt.  Either/both may conceivably have just been resting, but the one in the suit was having his/her/its photograph taken while lying on the floor in a hallway, which makes me highly suspicious, and the one in white lace may be the lady in white we saw on a balcony during setlock.

Carol, you're making me realize I need to start reading again...

... or listening to the DVD commentaries!  ;)

I don't know, they looked like what you thought they looked like to me, too ... but kinda small, no? Something's weird about them....

Right near the end, when Watson is shoving the deerstalker at him, you can see it. Well, it's something small and red, and it's in the right place, so until I learn otherwise, I say it's the buttonhole.

Just moved this post to this thread (due to spoiler potential), but it ended up back quite a way (due to heavy activity here today).  So just in case you missed it, here's some good potential for discussion:

Some thoughts about the Special:

The door of 221B (?) Wondering what the hell is pictured here.

This thing looks familiar.

As well as this arabesque :D

Not sure about the wallpaper, but the fireplace seems the same. Wondering why Mary is in black, though.

The scull is a full head now. I'm curious about the headphones equivalent.

So excited for the special and the fact that it is now coming soon instead of coming soon-ish.  I thought the pointy hats were a throw to

the KKK & 5 Orange Pips

We will have to wait and see I guess.

I'm to excited to answer anything else.  Brain is not focusing.
