Oh thank god. So it seems it won't all be in a Victorian setting. Whew. They had me worried there.

Now the next thing I want to see is a picture of Sherlock with his curls and coat and everything the way it should be. Please? Please? Please?

Here here!  It'll be wiglock but I don't care at this point!!!

Ya know, I was really worried about wiglock, but after seeing Matt Smith with a wig at the end of series 7 in Doctor Who, I'm less worried.  If he hadn't pulled his hair off in the episode, I'd probably have never noticed.

Oh, there WILL be wiglock.  Look at John and Mary at that graveyard in the same clothes they wore seeing him off on the plane.  That means that Sherlock will have to look the SAME as when he stepped on the plane.  Definitely will see Sherlock curls (and I don't think this is the first time for wiglock either).

Interesting point -- tight schedules can require that sort of thing (such as John's mustache in "Empty Hearse" being a fake, due to Hobbits having no facial hair).

And also possibly due to Mr. Freeman not wanting to be seen looking like an old man.... :p

I doubt he'd object on those grounds, since he grows a very nice mustache (and/or beard) when left to his own devices.

The wisdom of the internet tells me that Mark Gatiss tweeted a picture of The Skull recently with the "friend of mine" quote. Ooooh, wouldn't it be cool if next episode we finally learned the story of that thing?

My landlady, a retired dentist, told me that she has a real human skull.  I said, "Please NEVER show it to me."  She said that to become a Dr. in dentistry that you go through anatomy courses and do a lot of dissection on heads.  I guess she got to keep one of the skulls.  She says she has a good looking skull.  Whatever that means.  In the meantime I'm thinking, damnit, there's a human skull in the next house."

I guess this is odd, but somehow skeletons and skulls don't bother me.  If I knew that my neighbor kept a corpse, or even just a severed head, that would creep me out.  But I don't think my subconscious has quite figured out that there are skeletons and skulls inside of corpses and severed heads -- so please don't tell it!

Mary looks gorgeous. I want that outfit! Isn't the skirt a bit too short for a Victorian lady, though?

It's not exactly a skirt. It falls more along the lines of a skort as those are trouser legs that are puffy like a skirt. Yes it would be short otherwise for the time period.

Oh, you're right! She's wearing those trouser-like things women back then put on for cycling, for example. You know what, Mary looks pretty sexy in those clothes, if you ask me. Good lord. John is one lucky man in Victorian days! In modern ones too, come to think of it...

More photos of Sherlock and Mary, and a photo of John.

That's not Sherlock, that's Benedict Cumberbatch!  ;)

Amanda and Ben always seem to have a good laugh together.

Until proven otherwise, I'm willing to accept "Sherlock Holmes dressed up as Sherlock Holmes" as the much-anticipated "thing you least expect happening right away."

I was actually thinking for about a minute if I should write "Amanda and Ben" ... "Martin" instead but I didn't, because they are in the outfits, so I thought it's more... "sherlocky" :D
