Blocked when accessing certain page

For the last week I have been redirected from the 'Funny "Sherlock" Pictures' thread to a:

 

The website you are trying to open can't be accessed through this network

It has been included in the list of websites that can't be accessed through this network as it has been identified to carry content of the following nature:

Pornography

Gambling

Phishing/Malware

 

The strange thing is, I can access that thread from page 1 - 46 but page 47 will produce that white page. My carrier sometimes blocked certain sites but never only a specific page. I'd test it again when that thread reached page 48.

Now that is weird. Was there a link with that message, like "if you feel you have received this message in error, click HERE" or something like that?

 

Also, while this sounds like your carrier is the source of the blocking, you might try using a different browser (I take it you use Opera) or switch from mobile to a desktop PC / laptop and see if you can reach the page like that.

   Maybe the Sherlock-in-a-sheet cartoon?  Or perhaps it's not an image at all, but rather some basically innocuous word that triggered the algorithm (similar to this forum's "Forbidden" error) -- in which case, good luck guessing which word/phrase is the culprit!

@Martina: No such message appeared. :| *nod* Will try it on laptop later. You are right, I use Opera on mobile.

 

@Carol: ^^; Probably some word/phrase, this carrier was known to implement buggy (and quite basic) algorithm for offensive-materials filtering.

Congratulations . Do you use the same carrier for access via laptop and mobile or do you have two different providers? Depending on that, it might either be the Opera browser's or your carrier's block that has no sense of humor :P.

Same carrier for both and this time it is Opera who was being a meddling busybody.

Update: I can access page 48, 47 still blocked from Opera.

Weird, but at least the problem solved itself, kinda. Filter algorithms can be real divas.
