What song is stuck in your head?

"Only Love" - Katy Perry.  Nice message in this one.

I've only ever liked a handful of Katy Perry's songs, but this description of her latest album "Smile" kind of makes me want to download the whole thing.

This song's been stuck in my head for what feels like forever now.  Every time I think it's gone, I hear it again somewhere.

"Exile" - Bon Iver and Taylor Swift.

That's a lovely, evocative picture.  But I won't listen to the song, just in case!

It's not an obnoxious song.  I wouldn't even say it's terribly catchy.  It's just popular, apparently.  I can't seem to escape it, lol.

That Bon Iver, he can hit some really low, lowww notes.

Flipped on "Sounds of the Seasons" on my cable music channels to find out what they were playing.  Turns out it's Oktoberfest.  I now have the "Hank and Frank Polka" by the Hank Haller Ensemble stuck in my head.

I have the “Happy Working Song” from the movie musical “Enchanted” on my playlist for when I’m cleaning up at work, and now I’ve had it stuck in my head for about a week.  I even dreamt about it last night, lol.

Was that some of the noise you dreamed was in your room (here)?

No, no music in the dream.  Just crowds of people talking loudly.

Two different dreams/nights.

“Carol of the Bells” by Straight No Chaser.  My favorite Christmas carol.  I just discovered the ringtones section of the iTunes store and made this my ringtone.

According to this site, that was originally a Ukrainian song rejoicing that the swallows are back, so spring must be near.  They have an English translation of those lyrics that fit the melody nicely.

I've heard two English-language Christmas lyrics.  The one in that video is the familiar one, but I recently heard another that's more explicitly religious.

I think I’ve heard a few versions.  One religious, one not, and one in between.  I like them all.

Half our traditional songs were taken from other songs in other countries, lol.

According to Wikipedia, there are at least four lyrics (not including the original spring-related one).  I kinda suspect I've heard at least three of them but never noticed any difference till the other day.

Presumably quite true, regardless of whether you're talking about all traditional English-language songs or just the American ones.

"Drown" by Boy in Space.  Sad but pretty.

We've been watching Star Trek: The Animated Series from the early 70's, and heaven help me, the theme music keeps popping into my head.

The overall intro starts out copying the original-series intro, with  (a poor imitation of) the four familiar notes, followed by Kirk's standard voice-over.  Note that just as he's saying "where no man has gone before," the Enterprise flies by -- sideways.    And immediately after that, the music starts up (making no pretense whatsoever of resembling the Original Series music, because it's a Saturday-morning cartoon):

Yepp. it's faster than the virus. :D  I looked up the original singer, he's a cute and talented kid. And the babyface bass singer has an amazing voice.

And here is an earlier and longer version.
