"I.O.U." Theories

Recommended Posts

I saw that some of you are still discussing the fall in Reichenbach revisited. I will move over, since my last few posts here don't cover the IOU code cracking.

But if the Cinderella explanation holds up then we have already discovered one thing in RF which might get eventually picked up in S 4. I really think it's worth to keep looking and not giving up on the fall just yet.

I can see the fall revisited long enough to deal with Moriarty.  It might be flashback/mind palace sequences plus whatever happened with Moriarty's body shortly after Sherlock's jump.

Now the IOU theory I still find fascinating and I'm not big into RPG and all of its terminology.  Wonder if any of that will come back either in the special or in Series 4.

On the other hand, since Moriarty bases it on a fairytale, in Puss in Boots the beautiful Softpaws is called Kitty, and she tells Puss exactly that: IOU, which the self-centred cat takes the wrong way around. Perhaps Moffat, Thompson and the rest of the gang were watching this particular Dreamworks production together with little Louis, and they just lifted it, as they have lifted so many things from so many other sources!
