Sherlock Holmes: Enigma, Detective, Boro Lad

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am a Holmes fan and author who has written a number of Sherlock Holmes stories which I think have a pretty original twist.  In my stories Holmes lives in Baker Street, however it's the Baker Street in Middlesbrough.  My Holmes is a working class lad brought up in present-day Teesside, the result being a kind of nature versus nurcher study.  How much of him is the skills endowed upon him by mother nature, and how much of him is taken from the community around him?

The first six of my stories were published in November last year and have had excellent feedback from all quarters.  It would be very interesting to know what those of you on here think.  Hopefully some of you will like the concept, however I suspect some purists may not.  The Kindle preview on Amazon covers most of the first story, A Scandal in Boro.  Search Amazon for "Melvyn Small" or use the link on my website www.melsmall.com.

Here's looking forward to some feedback, bad or, hopefully, good.

Kind Regards

Mel
