  1. Agreed. What I mean is that the Granada series is very close to the canon, and whilst things tend to happen quite fast in the short stories, the plot in the series is sort of streched out (is that the correct expression?) due to the length of the episodes. It is like pouring water into a glass of juice; you get the same flavour, but it is slightly weaker.
  2. Jeremy Brett is a wonderful Sherlock Holmes. As someone said, he really does bring out all the different aspects of Holmes' character. I do not like any of the Watsons, however, and I am afraid I find the series as a whole quite boring. It may be that I am simply too used to fast-paced action movies, but the turning of short stories into long episodes of television simply does not work (in my opinion, at least).
  3. Thank you. They say that the forum is a good place to discuss Sherlock and topics related to the series.
  4. More references to the canon: - Sherlock looking for his cigarettes in a slipper. - The counter on John's blog being stuck on the number "1895". - Sherlock commenting on another character gaining weight. - The countdown in "The Great Game". - Moriarty's "Dear me, Mr. Holmes. Dear me."
  5. This site is often mentioned on other sites, a fact that makes it quite hard to remain ignorant of the forums existence.
