Here is a different take on the Sherlock stories;  Sherlock Jr, written and directed by Buster Keaton(my other love).  I can't believe I never thought about the connection until yesterday.  So Sherlock Jr has to solve the case of the missing watch,  it is truely one of Keaton's best and lots of fun.  The cinema scenes were an inspiration to Woody Allen (Purple Rose of Cairo) and it's also the movie where Buster actually broke his neck(but didn't realise, he did have headache or a few days after),  anyway.  As another version of the Sherlock story I thought I would share.   

 

I love that Sherlock Jr's Watson is actually called Gillette.

You are most welcome,  it is one of Keaton's best, shows what a gifted innovator he was with the "movie" scenes.
