What Constitutes As Material For Adult Access?

Recommended Posts

Because with things like this, I would like to have it spelled out before I make a mistake. ^_^;

For now, I ask about the Mind Palace, but really I suppose it applies to anything. What's the rating on stuff for the Adult Access boards? Would a borderline PG-13 piece of work go here, or is it just for the really explicit things? Or am I over-thinking a situation where "just use common sense" applies?

To make an edit: I'm requesting a bit of clarification on what goes in Adult Access. So that it fits in the Suggestions & Requests space. Yeah.

Users need to be over 18 to be granted access to the adult sections of the forum, so generally content that in the UK would get an 18 certificate (or an NC-17 in the USA) for sex language etc, should go in the adult section. As always if in doubt ask a member of staff.

A warning in the topic title and introduction for mild language or more soft love scenes is advisable if posting 15 ( R ) certificate stuff outside the adult area.

I'll edit the forum descriptions to include the age restriction. :)

I hope this is some help.

That helps a lot, thank-you! I'm not familiar with the British rating system, the US equivalents and the descriptors help a fair bit. Good to know that we can ask a staff member to help us out if we're not sure. Thanks! :)

I would add a bit to this. Any extreme language which may be offensive to some users should probably also fall under the catagory of Adult. Mild language is usually considered acceptable, but anything you probably would not use within twenty feet of a church is not altogether welcome.

I think we might need to come up with a better definition than that for what is considered "adult language"... Proximity to churches doesn't exactly limit my choice of swearwords! :)

I believe we do have a swearword filter in place, anyway, which will replace some swearwords with *****, but I'm not sure what exactly it is set to filter :)

Ah. Good point. I do see what you mean...it doesn't limit mine either, to be frank...I think most people probably know what I mean though...

We have a filter? That's nice!

As I said, I'm not sure exactly what it filters, so if you come across any words you think it should have filtered and hasn't please point it out! :D
