  1. It's the "I'm giving you a hard time" face. Not necessarily proof of love, just proof of, "I know you like me." I'm almost positive Sherlock is aware of Molly's feelings for him, even if he doesn't return them. He does care for her though, and I think that in series 3, he was starting to like her - and there's wimpy little Tom.
  2. I agree. This is definitely an episode that got much richer for me once I read "The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton" from the original ACD canon. Once I read those descriptions of the blackmailing and then updated them in my head to fit the Magnussen story, I found HLV to be even deeper, creepier, and more enjoyable. Oh cool. I can't wait to read that one. I'm still on "A Scandal in Bohemia."
  3. Well, the victim has to be in a state where what he tells the police makes an ounce of sense. As long as he is basically in a coma or drugged up with morphine, I doubt his statements would carry much weight anyway. I don't know what the official rules are, but a friend of mine who used to work as a nurse on an intensive care unit told me that the medical staff got to pretty much decide whether the police could talk to their patients or not, and that she had let relatives in where she'd shut officers out... Mary probably didn't get in officially. In fact, I don't think that anybody knew she was there besides Sherlock. As for John, well, we saw he was in the ambulance with Sherlock. And since doctors tend to be clannish among each other, I bet his colleagues let him come and go pretty much as he liked. @Inge l-w: I never thought about the police questioning the victim. But maybe that was what Lestrade was going to do - and take video. And then Sherlock disappeared before John and Lestrade could come into the room. Why? Several reasons why. Sherlock wasn't in a coma and he didn't seem whoozy, so he probably guessed that the police would come to question him, so he escaped. But then, why would he escape? The whole thing with the burglary had been cleared up by Jeanine, covering it up with a most likely good lie. So why would Sherlock run? He was afraid he'd have to tell Lestrade that Mary had shot him, right in front of John, and he wanted to tell John in his own way. And we know the rest. So why couldn't the police question them after everything? Maybe they did...maybe Sherlock lied about the description of the killer. We don't know what happened because suddenly it's Christmas. Sad we're left in the dark, but... Yeah. I hope T.o.b.y's and my explanations help a bit. ;)
  4. Personally, I loved His Last Vow. Great performances from everyone. Though, I wish I'd learned a bit more about Magnussen. We never saw a lot of blackmailing happening - just creepy face-licking.
  5. No wait - Sittything I just realized. Yes - smirk BEFORE sip. Just before.
  6. Weird okay... That isn't what I saw. I never saw his face like that...It literally seems different... Though your speculation could apply. I could have made a mistake, replaced the coffee grimace with a smirk in my mind. That happens a lot.
  7. @Arcadia - I've wondered that myself, though I really hope our Andrew Scott Moriarty is reichen-BACK! @SherlockedCAMPer - Thank you @sherlockandjohn - True. Though there may be more to it. Plus, it seems to me that Moriarty was on the roof too quickly? Perhaps, beforehand he'd blackmailed Molly into helping him, too? @Carol - the spoiler wasn't for the theory - it was for the spoilers from series 3. Like, Moriarty's faked death, or the fact that Sherlock "fell."
  8. This is some proof that Sherlolly exists. It's no secrert Molly loves Sherlock, but does Sherlock love Molly? This topic answers that question. A STUDY IN PINK In the one scene Molly was in, it was obvious that Molly had feelings for Sherlock. She decided to wear lipstick to impress Sherlock, she tried to ask him if he'd like to go out for coffee, even if he misinterpreted the messages. But come on - Sherlock notices everything. True, he can be "spectacularly ignorant," but as I prove in the rant for The Blind Banker, Sherlock is not ignorant of Molly's feelings for him. Such proof can also be found in this episode. Notice how, as Molly gives Sherlock his coffee, Sherlock points out how Molly removed her lipstick, to which she replies, "It wasn't working for me." Then Sherlock turns away from her as he says, "Really? I thought it was a big improvement. Your mouth looks too...small now." Then he takes a sip of the coffee, smirking. His expression could only be described as, "I know what's up, and I'm gonna give you a hard time about it." This doesn't necessarily prove that Sherlock has feelings for Molly, but he shows awareness to her feelings for him. That's a step. THE BLIND BANKER Even less happens between Sherlock and Molly in this episode, the only scene being less than a minute long. In this scene, Sherlock needs to check the bodies of Lucas and Van Coon, but the morgue is closed for the night. So Sherlock confronts Molly in the cafeteria lunch line, asking if she can let him in, which she can't. This is where Sherlock proves his awareness of Molly's feelings once again as he points out the change of Molly's hairstyle. Molly is embarrassed, afraid that he wouldn't like the change, which was most likely another effort to impress the world's only consulting detective, believed by Molly to be a failed attempt. And maybe it was, but either way, Sherlock compliments her new look, and the next thing you see, he's in the morgue. So you see? Sherlock uses Molly's feelings for his own uses. It's kind of cruel, but hey - it's awareness. It counts. THE GREAT GAME In this episode, there still isn't much Molly. Yet, like all scenes where Molly and Sherlock are interacting, a lot happens. Low and behold, Molly has a boyfriend. A "boyfriend." Those quotation marks mean several things. 1. Moriarty isn't really in love with Molly. 2. Molly might only be going out with Jim to show off to Sherlock, maybe make him jealous? This is completely headcanon. It's a thought, though. Anyway, what Molly's doing isn't as important as what Sherlock does. As soon as Molly introduces Jim as her boyfriend, Sherlock makes his deduction that Molly's "boyfriend" isn't straight. Why? Not because he was "jealous," (though one can only hope) but because, as he told John later, he was trying to be nice, for it would be best for Molly to "break it off" before she got too attached and had to learn the truth the hard way. Sherlock cares about Molly's heart and won't let her make poor decisions if he can help it, even if his help doesn't seem to be the best. However, if I was in Molly's situation, I'd be thankful that someone told me something so important as not to let me go through heartbreak.
  9. Two words: Molly Hooper. In order to find out how Molly contributed to Moriarty faking his death, we have to know why she would have done it. Molly loved Sherlock, cared for him deeply, even if it could only be a friendship between them. She even helped him fake his death, serving as Sherlock's confidante. So why in the world would she help Moriarty fake his death? Blackmail. Think back to the time when Moriarty went out with Molly. Now think back even further. Moriarty probably had this all planned out, the whole game. Maybe he didn't really want to kill Sherlock, but instead show him what he could do. However, that's another rant. But Moriarty had probably only went out with Molly to gain information about her to use it against her when it came down to faking his own death. He probably threatened Molly to help him. Also, Moriarty and Molly's relationship would probably have allowed Moriarty to see how close Molly and Sherlock were as friends. It's obvious to anyone that Sherlock viewed Molly as a friend, especially to Moriarty, who is as if not more observant than Sherlock, though he doesn't show it off. So, if Molly and Sherlock were so close, why wasn't Molly on Moriarty's list of people Sherlock's criminal neighbors were going to kill if they didn't see Sherlock fall in "The Reichenbach Fall?" Because Moriarty needed someone to fake his death records. And here's another piece of evidence - 2 things that didn't happen in the original Sherlock Holmes stories were Molly and the faking of Moriarty's death. There was no Molly Hooper and Moriarty remained dead. But in Sherlock, that's "obviously" not the "case." ;) It would only makes sense to make the 2 "things that didn't happen in the original Sherlock Holmes stories" relate to each other.
  10. Molly is the best. She's so relatable but unique too. By unique, I mean she's a character we've never seen before except in ourselves - I think that applies to both men and women. There's that part of us who's shy but ever pleasing, always wanting to help no matter what, the part that feels unnoticed when really, it's what shines the most.
  11. Cool! Season 2 is great! The season that really starts it all. Eccleston was so underrated, sadly. But he didn't want to be typecasted, and felt he wasn't appreciated, and so he left.
  12. You can call me "Bluebox." I recommend Doctor Who to every Sherlockian. Thanks for the link - I can't see the video yet, but as soon as I can, I will. Surprise me. ;)
  13. Hello! Thanks for the welcome! As I learned the hard way. Whoops. Sherlocked forever! Good to know ;) As expected.
  14. Hello everyone! I am really happy to have joined this place after having looked just about everywhere for the perfect Sherlock website, and I think I've found it! Anyway, as you can tell from my screen name, I am Wholocked. I've been watching Doctor Who for almost 6 years now, but Sherlock's newer to me. About a year ago, I saw "His Last Vow," my first Sherlock episode, and I was hooked. Ever since, I've been proud to call myself a Sherlockian. So tell me about yourselves. I'd like to get to know my Holmies ;)
  15. Hello, everyone! I am Mind TARDIS, but please call me anything you like. I'm into Sherlock and Doctor Who. Obviously. For quite a while, I've been hunting for a good Sherlock-based site, and I think I've found it. I bet I can find a few Whovians here, too. ;) Let's see...not much else. But I hope that I can meet a few of my fellow Holmies before I fall asleep ;)
