  1. I see Back on topic, people who still ask for directions and not use google maps, boomers I understand but millenials? It's 2026 in a few months, for crying out loud! Technology is a thing, use it!
  2. Things are different here, there are three different kind of nursing careers you can study for. I'm studying for the easiest one: nurse assistant. Which means I'll prepare sandwiches, change sheets, preparing the table to eat at and such
  3. Okay but why is it acceptable for biological males and women like Fred Phelps and Usain Bolt to excel at their respective sports, but not transgenders?
  4. Another update: I'm going back to school to work in health care. And I'm regretting it, some of the teachers aren't good. We're barely rehearsing the material and it's test after test. It's overwhelming me, but I have no idea what else I should do. And living on unemployment benefits isn't an option because my awful government decided to give two years to find a job or else you lose your unemployment benefits. Thankfully I have sick benefits now, but I have to visit my health insurance company every once in a while to say I'm still not 100%. So every visit is stressful because you never know if they decide you aren't sick enough and you lose your benefits. So great times ahead /s
  5. Thanks for that. But I'm worried he's too far gone in his dementia by then when that happens, I don't to see him become an incoherent mess. It's bad enough seing him struggling with his dementia as at it is
  6. So I guess an update of my life is in order, in case someone wondered what I was up to the past months. My dad has early dementia, he's now in a nursing home. I still think he should have been put in a nursing home with a dementia ward, but my aunt is his warden/caretaker so it's not my decision. He's declining, slowly but steadily. He needs help with showers, his food needs to be cut and recently he's become incontinent and needs a fence for his room because he keeps wandering the hallway in the night. I had several serious conversations with my cousin about him, that I don't want to see him anymore when he forgets me and that I don't want my dad become a guinea pig for science in his final stage to try and prolong his life. I plan to have a serious conversation with the staff, because I'm worried that in time it will become impossible for the nursing home to keep him when he's in the final stage. I'm ready to say goodbye to him, but I'm not ready to see him decline
  7. Okay but teenage boy I understand, but trans teenagers? It's the same here in Belgium, we also have gendered sports. Okay, but what about biological women or men? What about Fred Phelps who had a huge advantage with his arms in swimming? What about Ursain Bolt who also had advantage in running? Or recently Imane Khelif who won in the 2024 Olympics and TERFS were spreading false information that she was transgender when she has probably too much testerone or something? It's slippery slope and I don't like where it will end
  8. I've had people treat me differently due to my autism though. My social worker wanted to try out two organisations who could help me. I said no to both of them after they visited me, and both their work places got a complaint from me. One organisation send two women, one who was afraid to say anything on case of offending me, one who kept comparing me to her autistic daughter. Because everyone with autism is the same /s. Second organisation also send a woman. Look I'm used to making a network circle with all your friends and family, I'm not used to it if you make that same circle with coloured stick man figures. I am not a child! And I can't help but feel none of these women would have treated me this way if I wasn't autistic. I'm sorry to say this Carol, but your impression is wrong. There is hostility towards trans people who pretend to be trans just so that can be peeping Tom's and look at women's naked bodies. Or worse get barred from sports by having an "unfair advantage" because they were born male. I advise you look up Lia Thomas and how much Riley Gaines thrash talked about her because they were tied for 5th place and she felt like her thunder was stolen from her by a transgender, what a sore loser.
  9. The increasingly hostile attitude in the US against trans people, and people with autism. You can't take Tylenol or get vaccinated anymore or your child will get autism. And it's always the woman's fault! I'm curious what they'll say when I'll them that it's thanks my dad I have autism
  10. I don't have irritable bowel syndrome now, I have a stomach flu. Which is worse
  11. Caring is not an advantage as Mycroft would say
  12. I feel you, I have occasional irritable bowel syndrome.
  13. I'm only 31, and I already don't understand gen alpha slang. Wtf do you mean by skibidi rizz and no cap? Speak English dammit! BRB, I need to chase some kids of my lawn
  14. I'm not a crier while watching a movie/TV show, but if I was, I would have cried during the series final of sandman
  15. You're so cool doing that VBS
  16. Everyone who stayed indoors due covid lockdowns would be a millionaire then lol
  17. I blame laptops, children don't need to practice cursive writing anymore. Which is why there is a backlash against laptops now mainly due a cheating scandal related due laptops, and people are demanding to bring back paper tests because cheating used paper tests is fool proof /s
  18. John Connor would be SO disappointed in us
  19. I'm guessing because houses are more cleaner then decades ago, let kids eat dirt I say, it'll boost their immune system
  20. I still think it's genetics rather than vaccines
  21. I used to have Inge l-w as a Facebook friend, until she revealed her self to be an anti vaxxer when covid happened. I immediately blocked her, as someone with autism I can't be friends with an anti vaxxer. I hate those people, you have no idea how mad I am on RFK and the scientist who came up with the vaccines = autism
