Dear All:

Belated  greetings for 2016to all!!

This is has been driving  me nuts  since I first found it  on my Tumblr dashboard  about a  month or so ago. I've attached the picture of the subject line topic to this post.

It's at  this point that a little background is in order. "Desiderata" ("all things desired") was written in 1927 by a  lawyer/poet named  Max Ehrman.  It begins:

"Go placidly amidst the noise and haste

And remember what peace there is in silence."

The picture is one of someone's arm (either Benedict's or Sophie's) The tattoo reads:

"You are a child of the universe

No less than the trees and the stars, you have  a right to be here."

My question is twofold: Whose  arm would that be and who would be more in keeping with the above quote--Benedict or Sophie?

I thank  you kindly  for hearing  me out.

                                                                                   Cheers always,

                                                                                    Shezza.

Might be neither of 'em?

I love that poem, though.  Thank you for attributing it to the actual author (rather than to "anonymous," as is often erroneously done).  And P.S.: the line "Be cheerful; strive to be happy" is frequently misquoted (as "be careful," etc.).

Dear Carol:

This is Shezza. Greetings!!!

Now, what I would like to know is: Whose is that and which one would that part of Desiderata most apply--Benedict or Sophie?

The lap looks skinny enough to be Benedict but, without the fingers being outstretched, I can't really say for sure.

Your thoughts?

                                                                                           Cheers always,

                                                                                            Shezza.

Seriously, I have no idea.  Can't even say whether it's one of them -- or somebody else.
