Who Is Your Favourite Main Character?
Detective Prince replied to Undead Medic's topic in Characters
I'm going to go with Mycroft and to be honest, there's no real competition in my mind. I love Mycroft's cold (but still totally caring about Sherlock) side. And there's always this undertone with him that he's far more dangerous than you could think, but he's there in a suit all suave and somewhat smiling and only slightly running the country.- 243 replies

Oh I don't know, I think there are many times that John would have liked to have shot Sherlock, but no way he could do it himself. So maybe he see is at some sort of just desserts. Admittedly, if she had actually killed him I think he would have killed her. I get what you mean. But I think it's more the lies, plus I don't know the time between the first confrontation about it and then Christmas. I'm assuming it was more than a month or so but it's hard to tell. Forgiveness like that would take ages, in my opinion anyway.

I was actually okay with Magnussen. He was played just...amazingly. I think it's annoying that he only got one season, one proper episode and that's it. The vault was perfect. I called it as they were walking to the door. Moriarty returning. I was shocked, I didn't expect it but at the same time, I'm going to have to wait to see how they play it out. I love Andrew Scott's portrayal of him. It's so dangerous and he twists everything around him so well. I can't actually tell if I'm really happy about it or not yet. I won't go into Mycroft in this post or it'll end up being an essay... Mary. Now it'll be an essay. I want her gone now. I thought she'd go and then it was all "ASSASSIN." And I thought "She's definitely gone." but then John forgave her and now I just want her out of the series. Absolutely no way you'd ever forgive someone for shooting your best friend, baby or not. Life saving or not. All the lies and deceit. I'm somewhat hoping she'll be a target for Moriarty.

I hate this wait. I can't wait to see Charles, he'll probably be the opposite to the livewire that was Andrew Scott's Moriarty. Mother is looking forward to watching the episode as well. Even if I did have to remind her what happened last week. I'm certain I'm not emotionally prepared. I don't know if I can be.

Um... never asked myself that! Maybe, since she was doing a lot of the organizing, she booked the room for the major herself? Btw, they gave him a different first name. In the original, he is John Sholto. Probably they thought it would sound odd if John Watson had to shout his own first name through a closed door... Oh, another reference: What Mary reads out loud from John's blog (in The Empty Hearse, not this episode) is a compound of original Watson phrases describing Holmes. Another reference is that when we see the case of the 'Poison Giant' we see a dwarf with a blow dart thing. In the Sign of Four, Jonathan Small has an accomplice who is a small dwarf called Tonga who's murder weapon is a blow dart.

With people saying Mary is putting a wedge between him and John, I can't help but feel that some of that was Sherlock's own doing. He doesn't help himself sometimes. My absolute favourite part was drunk Sherlock. I was literally wondering what Sherlock would be like drunk a few days ago and couldn't picture it.

I'm sure there's something going onand that we're leading up to something really sad next week. The episode was good but it felt like it was just the lead up to next week if that makes sense. But I'm really psyched for next week then. The news at the end took me by surprise but it's just adding to the heartbreaking pile.

Thanks for the welcomes. I always forget people need convincing that gaming is an amazing hobby. I can't imagine life without gaming, I do remember playing Sonic when I was about 3 though...
