Did Dr. Watson Ever Talk In Detail About Maiwand ?

I've read a couple of books about Maiwand, which like Isandhlwana, was a complete rout of British forces, and killing of many of their men.

 

Was ever there a novel which had Watson telling more of his experiences of this event ?

But nothing further in the Conan Doyle stories?

I don't recall Watson talking about Maiwand, but that's not to say he hasn't.
