Thanks, Judy -- and welcome to Sherlock Forum! :wave2:

That book looks interesting (and appears to be part of a series, with volumes by different authors covering James Bond, the Royal Family, et al.). There isn't much info online about it, but the one review I found said "fun facts and trivia about Holmes" and rated in 3 out of 5 stars.

Oh, please. You think you're all so clever, entering competitions for knowledge about me. But let me tell you this: You don't know anything about who I really am! None of you! Stop trying to act like you do because you don't! John...John was the closest anyone has ever come to getting to know who I really am. But all of that has passed. So no one knows anything. NO ONE. And no one ever will.

Oh stop it.

You’re merely keeping up a facade.

You and I both know who you are.

Really? The last time I checked I was "Damaged, delusion, and believed in a higher power. In my case it was myself." Both statements of yours, however, are demonstratably untrue. Even you have no idea who I really am. You can stop pretending as well, because as much as you claim to; you do not know ANYTHING about me. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR? OH, perhaps I DON'T. NO ONE knows ANYTHING about who I really am, and anyone who says they do is a complete moron who doesn't know what they are talking about. Anyone who thinks they know what they are talking about does NOT. They have no brain whatsoever and nothing better to do then to try to make themselves look clever, when in fact they are the most brainless person in the universe. Anyone who thinks they can find out who I really am is equally brainless. Not even Mycroft knows who I really am and he's my older brother. My father and mother weren't around for long enough to have known and still they wouldn't have fully known. IF that isn't clear enough, I will be more than happy to elucidate to a point at which my statement is transparent.

Is this an off day? Is your brain rotting from boredom?

If so, I can join you in that retrospect.

You are "Damaged, delusional, and believe in a higher power." And this higher power is yourself, and right now all you can say for yourself is that "No one understands me!". You sound like a child. Pitiful. Did someone nick all your Smurfs; did they break your Action Man?

Oh please...come on.

Pull yourself together man.

Pick yourself up and find something to work on. Something to occupy that "big" brain of yours, so you'll lose that attitude of yours.

An off day? My brain rotting from boredom? NO. I am not having an off day and my brain is most certainly not rotting from boredom. In fact, if I wanted to be bored I'd talk to Anderson, Lestrade, Mycroft, Molly, practically everyone else I know of low intelligence. If I were bored, I'd take it out on the wall. It had it coming.

Of course the wall had it coming.

So big brain, if you claim we know nothing about you, than did you enter the competition?? I mean the answer was obvious even to a child who's eaten mercury.

What kind of hat does Sherlock Holmes wear??

Oh please! Make it harder next time.

Maybe then the competition would be based on intelligence and not just luck of the draw.

Did you notice that the answer was actually provided -- twice -- on the contest page? The picture shows Holmes wearing a deerstalker. And (apparently for those who think of such headwear as a "Sherlock Holmes hat"), the detective is described verbally as "deerstalker-wearing" or something of the sort.

As you say, luck of the draw. Which I suspect is why our friend CSI didn't enter. It's not skill, it's chance.

Of course.

How else would anyone win this is contest??

I wish it was something more obscure!

Example: Best way Sherlock Holmes faked his death (doesn't have to be real but the most imaginative!)

That...would...be...hard...at least for me it would be. REALLY hard.
