  1. Well I'll take it then if you don't mind! Illustrious Client, The
  2. Arcadia used Iceman in Round 1, Jane. No repeats lol. Got anything else?
  3. D - Deduction
  4. Okay can I just say that most other times I have played this game the X has always been an automatic pass, and Y and Z were kind of iffy. I propose we skip X Y and Z and if anyone can actually come up with answers for that they are a major boss and should get extra swag points. If not, we can see if we can go round again! I wonder how many rounds we could get.
  5. Sure why not (only if said with the right amount of Sherlockian condescension though) Palace, Mind
  6. When you're absent-mindedly doodling and then realize your random strokes spell out 221B Baker Street. Ahem.
  7. Knight, Henry
  8. Freeman
  9. Not sure if this has been done here. I haven't seen it but forgive me if it has. ABC's is a game where you pick a subject and everyone says something related to the subject. Can be BBC Sherlock or Jeremy Brett Sherlock or Doyle Sherlock whatever. The first poster has to post something starting with A, the next person gets B, next gets C and so on and see if you can work your way through the whole alphabet. Example if I began with A I could post "A study in Scarlet", next person could post anything from Benedict, to Brett, to Baker St, etc. or whatever they wish. If we make it all the way through the alphabet we see if we can get through again with all new words. Any takers? If so, the game is on! (See what I did there) And I personally suck at this! But I will start: Adler
  10. Although the incongruence of his youth with that voice is kind of sexy, I agree it is nice to see him age into it so beautifully. I think not only his age can vary but also his attractiveness. Sometimes I see shots of him and think he really isn't all that good looking, so I can respectably say I am a fan of his acting skills, not shallow! But then I'll see another picture of him and just...yeah...he's dreamy lol.
  11. Well that is what I can't get my head around. If there was shared adoration, genuine like and closeness, how could she shoot him? Just If I had genuine feelings of affection and love for someone I could not shoot them to save my own skin, even if I was reasonably hopeful they wouldn't die because I called an ambulance.
  12. Well, Benedict Cumberbatch seems to have chemistry with just about everyone. I think it is his intensity behind the eyes or something, that just seem to sear into whoever he is looking at...making sparks fly. And I don't think age would be a barrier to that at all. So bring on Judi Dench lol.
  13. I agree. Actually Season 3 has been my favorite because you really see Sherlock not just being a great man, but you can see he's getting closer to becoming a good one. Not only that, this series did something the other 2 did not. It gave us a glimpse into what's happened during the passing of time. Especially in SO3. All those crimes Sherlock and John solved together. Good point. We also get more information about Sherlock and Mycroft's past, which is great. Now, however, I feel that we don't know enough about John... Hopefully series 4 will shed some light on his background. I agree shedding light on John's background would be interesting. I keep thinking about Martin Freeman calling the Christmas special a "mouth-watering" idea and I can't help but think that means it will have a lot of juicy things for him as an actor to do. So hopefully that means some interesting scenes/reveals/emotions for John.
  14. Oh I hope not! Not her! Or any other Hollywood type really. I would love to see him in a romantic comedy but would prefer it with someone as classy as he is. I happen to like Downton Abbey and I think it would be charming to see him with Michelle Dockery. Someone who can match him for class and sophistication. Would love to see them both let loose and go against type in something funny.
  15. I took the test even though I have never seen Harry Potter, which means I am really avoiding the chores. Anyhoo I am a Ravenclaw. ls that good or bad? lol Since I trust the opinion of fellow Sherlock fans...are these really worth watching?
  16. Love that picture. I love that he is pointing his finger rather than the more stereotypical gun lol. And John looks pretty cool there too.
  17. Ok. Cumberbatch is cute/good looking as Sherlock, but to play James Bond... There has to be a sort of gruffness & swagger & just a whole other level of hotness that Cumberbatch has not yet attained. Probably won't ever have that kind of finesse. Now... Hugh Jackman on the hand... He's Bond material. Wait, what? Gruffness..swagger...hotness...finesse..and you think Benedict Cumberbatch does NOT have these qualities? I am flummoxed. Gruffness, swagger, and finesse can be acted, so even if you think he doesn't have those qualities does not mean he cannot act them. And as an actor I believe our Benedict can act anything....and do it better than anyone else out there to boot. Hotness is more subjective, of course, but he would be such a cool bond that the hotness would follow lol. And I can't see Hugh Jackman as Bond, at all! Goes to show certain things are in the eye of the beholder. I would not necessarily want Benedict to be James Bond, but I have no doubt that if he was, he would bring to the table the greatest Bond of all time.
  18. When we watched it on BBC Canada (they had a marathon a couple of months ago) every episode had that warning that goes something like "The following contains mature subject matter and is intended for mature audiences only. Parental discretion is advised". I thought that was a bit heavy-handed for Sherlock!? I hope it didn't scare anyone away from enjoying a wonderful show.
  19. Now that sounds intriguing!
  20. Pawse, I agree. I liked David Hardwicke too. And yes I can see the twinkling in his eyes! Good description. He was a great Watson. Basil Rathbone / Nigel Bruce...I just have no recollection of. Chances are I caught them at some time over the years (especially since my brother was a huge Sherlock Holmes fan growing up) but I just don't remember. However, in my hiatus induced desperation I'm sure I will track them down at some point over the next year and a half and give them a watch. I don't think they will replace Benedict/Martin and Jeremy/David though.
  21. If John was hurt that Molly was in on the deception I guess he did forgive her. Even though we never see them interacting, they were close enough that she was invited to John's wedding...maybe Sherlock never revealed her involvement to anyone, but still it MUST have eaten her up inside. She does have a conscience after all (one assumes).
  22. Yes, you'd think at some point they must have interacted and she must have out and out deceived him. Mrs. Hudson too...Lestrade...It would have been interesting if they had addressed that. She must feel some guilt for that.
  23. John's glaring absence from the mind palace has to be intentional but why? Slithytove both of those ideas sound plausible to me. Maybe it was also Sherlock's way of protecting "mind palace John" from knowing what Mary had just done to him. That is kind of out there I guess but maybe he didn't want to imagine having to deal with John in that scenario?
  24. Aw poor Mycroft. I love him! I think he's a great character and would love to see more of him.
  25. True! Bringing to life the part in his best man speech where he says something about he will solve the crime but John Watson will save your life? (Gotta go find that transcript!)
