Only idea that I got was that it is from one of the newspaper articles that we can see in some episodes. But I'm too lazy to look for those. :D

Well, of course, that's how I understood it as well. I certainly don't think she is employed by the secret services. This was her own initiative, I believe, like Surelock said, out of concern for Sherlock.

I'm rewatching the whole series and there's a little thing I've noticed in His Last Vow. The carpet Janine is lying on in Magnussen's office looks like the one in the therapist's room. I'm not reading anything into it, of course, just a funny little detail that I noticed. I made a few snapshots:

Yes, that was one of the first things I noticed when I watched it. It reminded me of Mr. Robot - that is shot like that. And it struck me, because I am interested in camera / editing, so I looked it up. It is called "quadrant framing". Unlike the mostly used "rule of thirds" which is very pleasing to our eye, quadrant framing is somewhat unsettling. In Mr. Robot specifically, it works so well, because it adds to the main character, who is suffering from social anxiety (plus lost of other things). Also it gives you a chance to notice the surrounding area, because the character in the shot is not taking up much space. So if this technique is used well, it can show feelings and emotions, tell us something about the character.

After about a year I had to come back here. Ohhh what an episode! I missed all you clever guys and the things you notice; your opinions, thoughts. I was so blown away from this one, I immediately proclaimed it is in my TOP 3 films / tv episodes / anything! Visually they brought it to yet another level. The relationships as well. The mind...blowing -- do I even have to mention that one? I loved how Mrs. Hudson got a bigger role here, she is amazing. I basically agree with most of what I read here, so I don't want to repeat it all. One of the few things that grabbed me by the heart and noone mentioned (sorry if I just haven't noticed) was:

What do you think of it? I loved it. However weak the story might be (I woudn't say it was bad), all the River - Doctor stuff makes up for that. A lot. Ahh, there were moments when I just wanted to shout! Like the "Hello, sweetie" bit.

I guess some people just want the straight-forward storylines that are stretched only over one episode. They can't handle "not knowing" for a bit, or having their minds messed up but that is exactly what I like - when I don't understand anything and have to process it over a couple of days. :D

Actually, I have nothing against what they did with Clara. I love the whole thing completely and I sometimes I don't understand all the "Moffat hate". (maybe it feels wrong what he is doing for the old fans who have seen the classic series, I don't know, because I started from 2005) Russel“s writing was very good - no doubt - but I love all the Moffat-complicated-unpredictable-mindblowing stuff. I think the sonic looks good -- fits this Doctor. I also liked Smith's one the best, but maybe it's just a thing of "getting used to". Although, the sunglasses look really cool on Peter. Some people thought they are just really stupid, that he has to have a screwdriver but I'm not one of them, heheh.

Oh, I'm SO looking forward to seeing the Christmas special! I can't wait to see the chemistry between Peter and Alex. And it looks like it will be quite funny, too. I sure need that after the last 3 episodes of the 9th season...
