  1. Hah, thanks, I've tried to use a similar one - I wasn't completely sure about it - I had to mirror it (so that he is on the right, because profile pic is on the left) and it looked weird. :D But I will go with this one if there won't be anything better.
  2. Guys, I've decided to change my facebook cover photo to something Sherlock-related, obviously. I'm searching for about 30 min. now and I still haven't found the right picture... You are longer in this "bussiness" - do think you could help me, please? I don't want anything too obvious (something that doesn't have "SHERLOCK" literally written all over). It could be either Sherlock or Moriarty and / or a quote, something "artistic" maybe... I will be grateful for any pics you throw at me.
  3. Aww, I'm so happy for them. She seems very nice, indeed... I wish them all the best.
  4. Only one A? Hmm... H?

  7. Really? But I think that varies from person to person... in whatever language. (Sherlock deducing-talking speed or "The who, the what, the why, the when, the where?" popped into my head - now that is something.. )
  8. Well, "na zdravie" is a very important word so I would say you don't need to know more. Hahahahh Also, I wonder how does my language sound to foreigners. It is said that Slovak is "soft", "sweet" or like "singing" but I don't believe that at all - maybe it was like that, but nowadays we don't talk the way they did before... I've heard some foreigners say that Czech sounds like German - do you agree?
  9. Wow, that is so interesting, I didn't know that you guys in Germany learn all those languages - especially Latin! I envy you, too, Schlauer Fuchs - even if your skills are limited it is still great. I agree with Janie - Czech and Slovak are quite similiar (though I know that Czech is a problem for some Slovak people), We've always been surrounded by Czech (even part of my family is from there). I can understand a bit of Polish, too - just by guessing I get a lot of things right (or close), but I can't speak it. But I am very surprised by how little of the people I know can actually speak English - and I mean people at my age, people that learn it in school and are surrounded by it everywhere. On primary school we were studying German (besides English), but I never liked it and by now, I've forgotten almost everything. I have tried to learn Italian (also Polish, but that doesn't even count) on my own - I didn't get very far and forgotten again.. The main problem for me is, that there isn't another language that I would use the way I use English. I wouldn't watch films in Italian, I wouldn't change the language on my PC or in games to Italian etc. - that way, I am not "forced" to learn it the way I learn(ed) English.
  10. Hmm, at least, we are more special then. Ahh, don't be. I think English is a.... "must-know"? I've been surrounded by it since I was little so I learned it the easier way. However, I have tried to learn other languages - unsuccessfully - I just can't learn them the way I learned English... If this is a bit off-topic, sorry.
  11. Yay, ahoj! Are there other CZ / SK people here? (I'm speaking in English, so the others don't think we are saying something bad about them hehe) ...and welcome, Detektive!
  12. Oh, that's gonna be awesome!
  13. Thank you all for the nice welcome. I would love to contribute somehow - Im finishing my digital painting of Sherlock - I will post it here somewhere when its done...
  14. Let's have dinner. Ah, so simple and clever... and I didn't think of it. Probably because I was busy picturing myself turning into a fan-girl jelly before I managed to think of anything decent to text him.
  15. 1. Vacation? I would choose Mycroft. I completely agree with Boton on this one... 2. Flatmate? Molly. She is a bit wierd but she is nice... Weird in a nice way..? Also she seems quiet but really smart... I feel like I could talk with her, we would understand each other. 3. Work with? Ahh, Sherlock. I could use some moving around and getting fresh air, paying for the cabs, constantly getting picked up by Mycroft's car... No, seriously. Just watching him is exciting, what would it be like to be involved? 4. Have a drink with? As it was already said, if I was at a drinking age, I'd go with Sherlock. Since I'm not, I'd go with Moriarty. It might be interesting to talk with him, discuss various views on the world and people, start shouting mid-sentence and change the tone of your voice here and there... 5. Spend the day with doing my activity of choice? Sherlock - if I could make him do what I want. And I have no idea what that would be. He would probably have to be a bit drunk so he is not that machine-like. I reconsidered. Moriarty again. It could be so much fun - I would probably let him choose the activity - unlike me, he would choose something crazy and funny. And hopefully, he would have no reason to make me into shoes at the end of that day. Bonus: Definitely Benedict. He seems so kind and sweet, funny and careless. But what in the world could I text him?
  16. Oh that is really a pity! You know, even though I constantly get the impression that a not too small percentage of Sherlock fans on the internet are Germans - to the extent that I sometimes think pretty much everyone in Germany must know Sherlock - I really know only one person (apart from me) whom I would call a Sherlockian and a couple of others who know it (because I introduced them to it; but they don't share the passion for it). So I'm also here because I want to share my love for this show with people. And it's a joy here, not only because the people here understand your passion and are even grateful for your weirdest theories, because also because this is one of the friendliest forum communities I've ever encountered! Thanks, I'm prepared. Yeah, it's really a shame when you don't have anybody to talk to about all that stuff you like... And since I love English (I even think in it most of the time) I would love to quote and reference my favourite films and TV shows but noone would understand. Here, people do, I believe.
  17. Thank you. Well, it was aired on television - I remember that I saw about 2 minutes of "The Empty Hearse" while brushing my teeth. But I just thought "those are weird faces". And now, about half-a-year later, I am in love. So I just watched it on the internet, and then - well, I am a pirate...
  18. Hi, everybody! I've just discovered this forum and joined - I had to - as I'm waiting for the next season. I am hoping to share my passion with some "Sherlockians" here, because, sadly, there are none around me...
