  1. Phew, what an episode! So much discussion going on here and I don't actually have anything new to say. Just some of my thoughts: - Culverton Smith Creepy as hell..don't really know anymore, which one is more intimidating, Magnussen or Smith. From the very beginning of the episode, I found him really disgusting. And he hugging and suffocating Sherlock..what on Earth was going on. - Nurses giving that "medicine" to the participants of the meeting made me to shiver. I have a needle/medicine phobia, so that scene really made me to feel ill. Also the whole feeling of that scene and Culverton laughing... - Ms. Hudson was brilliant. She had some balls in this episode! - The humor was great. Without it the episode would have been too grim and horrifying. - Eurus??? I was so confused. At some point of the episode, I stopped thinking about what is going to happen next. Just sat back on my sofa and enjoyed the flow. Also, I gave up trying to deduce the next episode. I think Moftiss will surprise me once again. - John and Sherlock's hug!!! I have heard so many opinions about this, but for me it was absolutely sweet and sad at the same time. I really have enjoyed how Sherlock has been showing more and more emotions. He's not just a machine. -Every main character has developed since the first episodes. Also the series has gone to a darker level and at some points I felt I was watching a horror show (the morgue scene still gives me goose bumps...) Very great episode indeed. Not the best, but not far from that. Gave it 10/10. ;) After last week's ok, but not brilliant start, this episode felt so magnificent and had many layers on it.
  2. I thought I was taking notice to useless details, but I also noted that Sherlock's hair was shorter (or different in another way), and he was tanned. Tan didn't suite Sherl very much because I think he's a bit "nerdy" guy hanging in his apartment solving crimes rather than going to a vacation to sunbathe. I have to say that I liked John's new hair... But as one of my friends once said, (who loathes Benedict! :D ) there's no arguing in the taste of men, because it differs so much.
  3. How would you rate the "The Force Awakens"? I ask, because you're description of Rogue One is about how I would describe The Force Awakens. I'm hoping to find time for a movie this weekend and wondering if I should spend my hard-earned money on Star Wars or another viewing of Dr. Strange. Or maybe Fantastic Beasts. Hey sorry, I haven't been around for a while so I've missed your question! :O When I first saw FA I really liked and I have to admit that it was an introduction for me to Star Wars, because back then I hadn't seen the old movies. After I saw the old ones, the new movie felt a bit lame and just a remake of New Hope for the new generation. Still I have hopes for the upcoming episode and hope that they won't just submit to old settlements. I hope you spend your money on Dr. Strange. :D
  4. I have been a bit lazy to write anything here, but now because of the new episode I have to crawl back from my cave and say something "wise" about the new episode. Still feels like ..... As a whole, the episode was a solid start for the new season. It had humor, tragedy, Sherlock being his lovely little self, newborn baby etc. Still I have to say, that this wasn't the best episode I've seen. It was only decent. However, I have felt in every season that the first episode hasn't been the best, so with S4 I'm expecting to see some development in the next episodes. I desperately want to know what on Earth is Moriarty's role in this whole mess. Why I was so shocked about this episode is the grimness of it. It was a bit funny at the beginning, but it started to change to a darker style towards the end. I'm not sure whether it's good or not. After I watched the episode, I felt a bit anxious and confused. Now I'm really concerned for John! What the heck, don't be angry to Sherlock...I feel that something really nasty is going to happen to him and the bus lady is acting a huge role in that nastiness. Even though I wasn't a huge fan of Mary, what happened to her was horrifying. It was very audacious from the writers to kill a main character right in the start of the new season. Still don't know what to think. Mixed feelings. Looking forward for the next week!
  5. Star Wars-Rogue One 6/10 Watched this yesterday in a premiere in our tiny cinema. It wasn't bad, but not good either. In general it felt boring, too much action and flight scenes to my taste. It also felt like a movie made just for fanservice. (have to admit that Vader's cameo was pretty cool though. :P)
  6. Very tasty bookcase you have! I especially like Sherlock's picture in frames. Usually people tend to put pictures of their family members, children etc. into frames and you put Sherlock in there instead. :D That's definitely something I would like to do also. I should have a picture of John and Sherl together in frames next to my bed. Wonder what my boyfriend would say to that..
  7. I'm so jealous! But alas, I have no advice for you either, except to pack plenty of underwear. Have a great time! Thanks! And don't be jealous, you have to visit UK someday as well. ;) And to Caya about Airbnb (I don't know how to multiquote..) I've been also thinking that, is renting your flat to tourists in the "grey zone" and do the landlords skip taxes etc. I've been searching pretty carefully the site before reserving anything. The thing that interests me is getting to know local people and their life style, because if you just go to a hotel, you're basically on your own and with your travel partner. And I prefer country side and tourist free places, and often there aren't any hotels there. Thanks for the information! And about the different words in different states. For a person from non-English speaking country, I have always thought that it is pretty funny that some words differ so much. Myself I usually tend to mix them up and don't always remember which words are used in certain countries and states. To think about it, we here in Finland also have differences in words between regions. Especially eastern and northern Finland have their "own language" which is pretty hard to understand for me.
  8. I really don't have an idea have you guys been talking about traveling here, because I'm too lazy to scroll older posts, but I have to tell you that I'm going to UK first time ever after Christmas. \o/ So it means that I'm going to see the new Sherlock episode at its home country!! Travel tips are very welcome and also if you have any experiences of reserving accomodation from Airbnb, please let me know. I'm so excited!! This gives me energy to survive this grim November and last weeks of work and school. :O
  9. Doctor Strange - 9/10 Finally saw this at our tiny theater. It was brilliant! I didn't have much to except, so I didn't really know what was the plot in the movie. It was quite creative and somehow an unique superhero movie. And of course BC with a cape.
  10. Welcome to the great forum Raspppberyl! I love your avatar. ^__^ London is one of the places where I would really like to visit someday. Maybe soon..
  11. Interesting. :D Hopefully you didn't get offended of my opinion. But I have to admit that the clothing and setting. Quite barbaric as you said.
  12. At first I got hooked to Sherlock (naturally), then I just surfed around the Internet to find any nice forums, where I would be able to meet interesting people who like also Sherlock. I found this forum and after considering it a few minutes, I made an account. Haven't regretted it. ;) It is very nice to see that this forum is very active.
  13. ..the obsession is bad when: - You're supposed to do school work, but end up scrolling this forum and adoring cute amigurumis of John and Sherl. - You're supposed to do school work, but end up scrolling funny pictures and gifs of Sherlock and John from Facebook. - You're supposed to do school work, but end up reading smutty fanfiction (I almost wrote funfiction....) of Sherlock. - You're supposed to have nice, normal dreams but end up seeing a dream where John Watson is at your size and you are hugging him continuously. - When your boyfriend is thinking about getting a puppy and you secretly think about to name it Sherlock. Okay, maybe I should get a life....
  14. Trump is getting popular in Finland too :DD https://pics.onsizzle.com/when-your-coat-of-arms-is-7-donald-trump-heads-6227636.png
  15. Mad Max: Fury Road - 4/10 Well, what should I say..too much action, boring and shallow characters, bad plot..I didn't like this movie at all. My boyfriend is a fan of the original ones but disliked this new version. It seemed like the stuntmen were responsible of the screenwriting, because there was so many unnecessary stunts and other action. :P
  16. I have seen this movie years ago and kinda liked it. To be completely honest, I didn't understand it at all, but still it was quite interesting in it's weirdness. :P Better rewatch it with concentration.
  17. This one from the 1984 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086879/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
  18. Yeah, brainwashing and sublimial messages all the time. 8D Maybe next time I'll show them all episodes of Sherlock...
  19. I also disliked LoTR at first, but my boyfriend managed to brainwash me, because he forced me to watch the trilogy with him. I liked the movies very much, but still I have to admit that I prefer the books. And about The Hobbit, which seems to be discussed pretty much here lately. The movies are okay, except the last one, which in my opinion was ridiculous. I was very shocked when I read the book and realized that the last movie, lasting 3 hours, was based on a very small amount of the book. (and yes, I too dislike Legolas, lol!) The most interesting part is, I think that The Hobbit was originally the reason why I got hooked to Sherlock. That's because I liked Martin Freeman in the movies and checked his other works from Imbd. I noticed Sherlock there and I had seen the first episode many years ago but didn't like it very much back then. I decided to give it a second try and now I'm here and waiting eagerly for the season 4. One thing leads to another. And now to the subject...last seen movie: Amadeus 10/10 I remember we watched clips of this huge movie in upper secondary school. Now I finally managed to watch the whole thing and enjoyed it very much. Great composer, great music, tragical story, interesting characters, history fantasy, comedy...this movie has everything. Definitely goes to my top list. Seems like I tend to like films about music and musicians. Maybe It's because I'm a wannabe-musician myself. :P (seems like I tend to write long posts. Sorry!)
  20. Oh dear! I'm good with children for very very very very small dose. A scenario like that would probably send me into my first public crying, sitting in the middle of the floor cupping my ears. Welcome to teachers life. :P Actually, most of the pupils are very nice and easy, but the complicated ones are those you remember the best, unfortunately. You always have to struggle with them, and they might have some problems in family. That is very sad, because it is really hard to help them. You just have to try to get along with them and not to be offended if they are rude.
  21. The clowns are highly resembled in media here in Finland also. D: The most horrible thing I have heard is that in some towns the clowns have even rung people's doorbells. In my opinion that is way too much. I would be scared shitless, if a clown came to my doorstep. Hopefully they will never come here. Police has also intervened to the clown issue, because they have scared people too much and caused mess with traffic. Last week I was working in school and the teachers told that many children are scared of the clowns and have heard that they will murder people in the streets. Also, many children have decided that it is forbidden to dress as a clown to their Halloween parties. Wise decision. :P Batman, we need you!
  22. It's like torture. =__= I was working in school today as a vicarious teacher and last week the school was closed because of autumn vacation. Today, on the first day after vacation, every adult was stressed and it was very hard for children to come back from vacation so they didn't concentrate on to anything. Just f***ing around. Hopefully the situation will settle down, because I have to work with those children the whole week.
  23. Yup, I have never understood why some people have like 100+ superficial friendships and the only thing they do with them is to ask "How are you" and party occasionally. In my school there are so many people like that. I have always preferred fewer, but real friendships. I have to trust the people I hang with completely to be myself. And also, I don't like the question "how are you", because usually people just want to chat about themselves and don't really like to know how are you doing.
  24. 12 Years a Slave - 9/10 I've seen this movie earlier, about an year ago, and wanted to rewatch and show it to my boyfriend. It was an excellent movie and very grim to think that it was based on true story. Humankind has so many dark things in its history. Also, wanted to see it again because of our dear Sherlock Benedict (of course :D) and my another favorite actor, Michael Fassbender. Both were brilliant, as always.
  25. o__O Eww. Japanese cuisines are so weird. Reminds me of the dancing octopus (begins at 5:30): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOVR8bvBZE0.
