Why Do People Join Forums And Not Post In Threads?

Having been a short-term lurker on a forum or two, I also feel that some people can be put off posting by the feeling that they have nothing of perceivable value to add to the discussions, particularly if they feel that their level of "knowledge" is "lesser" than the regular posters. This is probably less of an issue with private, academic forums because those invited to join are naturally knowledgeable on the subject matter at hand. Welcome to the forum, Meyers. Glad you found us! -

I've met Sylvester and Paul, they're both awesome, and really down to earth. (Sylvester's reaction when I said "So we hear you're going to be in The Hobbit?" was "Am I?" In a very whimsical, Doctorish tone.

It may not be where the dish itself originates (I believe that may be the US), but the tradition of not cooking on Saturday sounds Jewish inspired to me.

I believe it is a Jewish tradition, and the Jewish Sabbath is on the Saturday, and by orthodox beliefs all manner of work on the sabbath is forbidden, including such things as switching on lights and cooking meals.

One also would presume that it is common practice to furnish ex government agents with new, perfectly legal identities after they leave service. So while "Mary Morstan" may not be the name she was given at birth it may well be a perfectly legal new identity. (Just reaching here )
