Hello new friends,

As I am sure most of you are aware the Sherlocked Convention takes place in London on the 24-26 of April. I think conventions can be a tough time for those of us who are unable to attend and to combat this I was thinking an online Sherlock convention where we could all have fun together regardless of if we make it to London or not would be a fun idea.

I think we should RT/Fav the tweets and photos of those lucky enough to attend and keep up to date with all the action as it happens during the weekend. Show the event organisers that just because we’re not there in person doesn’t mean we’re not interested! I know it’s not the same as attending the event but we can at least all enjoy the photos and gossip from the weekend!

I think we should also have a mini Sherlock marathon on the Saturday, we could all vote for our favourite episodes and live tweet them together? I have created a poll where you can vote for your favourite episode here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3NTBPW5

Also, we should show our appreciation for the creativity and expressiveness of the Sherlock fandom by sharing some of our favourite fanart and fanfics! It’s the clever people who write fics and draw art that keeps this fandom alive and we should celebrate their creativity!

We may not all get to meet the Sherlock cast at Sherlocked but we can show them that we love and appreciate their work and that the hiatus hasn’t lessened our affection for the show.

I'd love to know what you think. I'm very new to this site and you kind find me on twitter also, my username is the same as it is here.

I feel there has been a lot of negativity regarding Sherlock recently, especially on Twitter and maybe this could be an opportunity for us all to reconnect and make new friends.

I look forward to hearing from you all. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum! Make yourself at home and have a look around, and you'll see that some of our lucky (and/or slightly nervous :D) members are actually going to be at the con. We'll all be cheering them on .

As for the marathon and such, feel free to use the forum to organize one (if you do, be mindful of the fact that we have members from vastly different timezones, though, when considering the starting time). And you can do polls right here on the forum, no need for monkeys ;).

Has there really? What sort of negativity? I don't mess much with social media in general (don't even have a facebook account), so I am for the most part blissfully ignorant of what goes on in the big bad world.

Anyway, welcome! And thanks for the reminder, I had totally forgotten about the convention (shame on me, I know). I think I'll be working Saturday... and if not, I don't think my husband, who sees me far too seldom, would tolerate it if I sat down and watched four episodes of Sherlock in one day. But I'll be glad for any news, especially from the Q+As, because some naive, unrealistic little part of me still hopes that some day, some of my questions will actually be answered.
