I came across this while doing the rounds this morning. From the site:

THE GAME IS ON

AN AFTERNOON WITH MARK GATISS & FRIENDS

The Game Is On! Spend an afternoon with Mark Gatiss & Friends in support of London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard.

Actor and writer Mark Gatiss will host an exclusive fundraiser on 11 November in support of London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard. The Game Is On: An Afternoon with Mark Gatiss & Friendswill feature a Q&A session with Mark and special guests from his career working on hit shows such as BBC1’s ‘Sherlock’. Fans will have the opportunity to participate by submitting questions via email in advance to thegameison@llgs.org.uk.

The Game Is On will raise funds for the charity’s information and support services to the LGBT community, which include a free and confidential telephone helpline, instant messaging and email support.

Laura Skedgell from London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard said: “We’re delighted to present this Q&A event hosted by our Patron, Mark Gatiss. It promises to be an unmissable afternoon of entertainment for fans of Mark and his cult shows, which will help us to continue to support the LGBT community on issues from coming out to going out and everything in between.”Tickets forThe Game Is On cost £20-£40.

From Sherlockology, the guests will be Mark Gatiss, Martin Freeman, Louise Brealey, Rupert Graves, Andrew Scott, Una Stubbs, Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue.

I just checked and there are still tickets available. It's a Sunday afternoon, which makes it easier to attend, for those interested.

I'm just wondering whether I'll actually be awake enough to attend this, because it sounds like a real treat! :)

Anybody else interested?

And of course it is in London, which automatically makes it difficult for anyone north of Birmingham to attend. Bah.

And it is on Rememberance Sunday... :-S Didn't notice that initially...

Does anybody know how bad London is on Remmeberance Sunday when it comes to moving around?

Public Transport on Sunday is horrendous at the best of times - on Remembrance Sunday? Ack!

After having to get 3 trains and 2 buses back from Birmingham on a Sunday once, a journey that took over 4 hours (instead of the 1 hour it should take), I vowed never to do public transport on a Sunday again.

I am not interested in men or women. As I told John. I'm unattached. He said and I'm inclined to agree with him. What purplexes me though, is that he said "Like me." Unattached like him? He went out with several females after that, what on Earth did he mean he was unattached?

Excellent point, my dearest. John is an average human being, and therefore is inclined to sudden changes of mind...

So -- did any of y'all go? (Wish that darned Atlantic hadn't been in the way!)

Here's a synopsis of the event from Sherlockology (which apparently includes photos, though my dial-up connection likes to filter them out). There are a number of other write-ups available online, e.g., this one (which has links to two others). And there will reportedly be an audio recording available at some point.
