... my relatives will be coming soon and they're all Sherlock fans ....

How on earth did that happen?

I just had to make them watch it!  It helps that 3 of them live in London.

Well, I do have one cousin like that -- not saying she lives in London, just that I played the DVD for her and now she likes the show.

I already have the original 'Cluedo' (left by my son as it was cluttering up his house!!) and have played with 3 people. I assume it will be the same rules etc as the original.

Like you, Mr Holmes, I would like to get it as a collecter's item but maybe when the price (if it) comes down!

Thanks to this thread I purchased the game and had it shipped all the way into the wilds of Canada lol.  (Okay not really wilds, downtown Toronto) and I absolutely love it!  We had a marathon last weekend and might do another one this weekend so I stocked up on the chips, pop and wine.

To set the mood just right, we always play the Sherlock show Theme music as we set up the board, and then when a player is ready to make the deduction/accusation they have to play Sherlock's "Game is On" music or they forfeit.  (We have both tunes on our phones so it is easy to punch up at the right moment)

I have discovered that my observation skills suck, my memory for detail is laughable, and I couldn't deduce my way out of a paper bag.  But I love the game anyway.  :sherlock:

I used to play the American Clue a lot when I was a teenager, at least until my siblings refused to play it with me anymore because I figured out how to win virtually every time by observing and taking note of what combination of cards my siblings called for when they went to a particular room (my siblings would usually call out for one card they didn't have and two cards they already held, which made it possible to eventually figure out what they likely had, and that made it a lot faster and easier to figure out what cards no one had for the actual murderer, weapon, and room).  My siblings accused me of cheating, but I saw nothing in the rules that prevented one from using that strategy.

For those who've been hoping to find the game at a special price, this may be your chance.  Sherlockology has arranged with the manufacturer/distributor for a 15% discount (through April 26th) on everything in their online store, including Sherlock Cluedo.  See Sherlockology's Tumblr post for details.

Cluedo arrived today. Just played my first round with my kid. Sherlock killed Moriarty and Irene's flat with the candlestick.

Sherlock has simply got to stop dealing with the villains by killing them!

Moriarty was standing in the wrong spot when Sherlock opened Irene's safe so it wasn't Sherlock's fault.

Irene had rigged up her safe to propel a candlestick?  :P

You never know, she's clever like that or maybe Sherlock tried to pistol whip him and it went wrong.
