Hi all,

Has anyone seen Mark Gatiss’ new show, Bookish? He plays the lead character, a book shop owner who solves crimes in post-war Britain.

I’m only halfway through currently but I’m enjoying it. Thought others here might like to watch it too.

I would love to see it, but it seems to be only available in the UK.

Hello, Fox -- welcome to Sherlock Forum!    

Was just looking to see whether the show is available on DVD (apparently not, at least not yet), but found that there is already a novelization by the same name, written by Matthew Sweet.  I'd guess that it follows the show pretty closely.

 -- a little too closely for one reader, who had already seen the show and complained that the book had "No surprises or more in depth information."  But another reader says it's "a unique combination of whimsy and dark tongue-in-cheek humour ... well written and a memorable read."  All in all, it's very positively reviewed.
