My two cents' worth (which won't even buy you a gumball these days) is that it's best to create a post for a particular story only when you have some interesting little hook to get people's attention -- a truly puzzling question, perhaps, or an explanation of some puzzling detail that would have been obvious to the Victorian reader. You can of course also include a synopsis of the beginning of the story if you like -- but I think you'll get more responses if you lead with the hook.

  2. Sir Douglas, I personally thought your thought worthy of great attention. Have you thought on your thought any further? We could well do with a thread or section on Doyle himself perhaps - a rather large arena of interest and knowledge I haven't found yet. (Not that it doesn't exist...my time is just somewhat limited as yet.)

  3. The Casebooks will likely be my 'most visited' place for awhile, so if I jump on a few of the stories don't be surprised. Hopefully we'll get some friendly participation. There's a great deal to discuss.
