"When we did the movie of Thor for Marvel, we rehearsed a long time for that. A lot. I remember, like a year ahead of it because Natalie Portman was also doing her ballet training for Black Swan. I remember setting her homework and giving her a biography of Rosalind Franklin - who was one of the unsung heroes, the unsung female scientist who was part of identifying DNA - just by way of inspiration for a passionate female scientist underappreciated of brilliance.
I remember making Hemsworth and Hiddleston improvise as brothers a year ahead of time, and creating some material to go back to Don Payne who did that crucial draft of the script. And then putting them together with Hopkins as well, and doing improvisations."
