These aren't "location pictures" in the usual sense, but Arwel Wyn Jones, Sherlock's Production Designer, has been posting teaser photos on his Twitter account.

Thanks to Sherlockology, here's his first, apparently an empty sound stage. (But presumably not just any sound stage!)

Then, again via Sherlockology, something a bit more familiar looking -- that lovely bamboo-pattern wallpaper:

Via Sherlockology once more, the Day 3 photo from Arwel Wyn Jones -- the beginnings of a familiar doorway:

Oh this is making me happy! :sherlock::Fuzzy:

I won't be truly happy until I see the "Coming Soon" trailers. But it's lovely to see the set being put together. :)

And here on Day 4 are three -- um, I believe they call 'em flats? -- possibly getting ready to look like a very familiar flat?

No wonder they had to bush back the start of filming. 221 isn't even up and running yet! Or maybe that's why they keep Cumberbach and Freeman running all over the world so they can get the set done?

And they say Americans don't understand dry humor!

LOL.....the old timer New Englanders are famous...or rather..infamous...for dry humor. We Mainers get a lot of flack about it.

Thursday of Week 2: Arwel Jones says "Mrs. Hudson's got the painters in!" and Sherlockology replies "These two don’t look like hitmen at least!"

Tuesday of Week 3:

Guess who’s back? Back in town. Clue- it’s not Slim Shady!

We’re very HAPPY to see him!

Warning Added: The answer to this puzzle will be in my next post. If you'd like to make your own guess, don't scroll down past the end of this post till you do.

I have no idea what their clue means, but I do have a wild guess, just from looking at the picture below:

Following yesterday’s amazing tease from the rear, Arwel Wyn Jones has just revealed the opposite side of the set wall - hello old friend!

‘The answer to yesterday’s tease - #smiley :-)’

We've also got photos from Mark Painter, the construction manager.

This one (below) appears to be chronologically last (click on the link above to see two earlier shots from the same angle). Note the portion of exterior brick wall (at far right, on closest wall), matching the exterior of the North Gower location.

And Arwel Jones's Friday double feature!

... a view from the very back of the kitchen - ‘We have windows!’

While the below features a member of the construction crew (we’ll admit we’re at a loss when Arwel asks) - ‘Friday feature! Who’s in the frame?’
Let the speculation commence!

(Well, I'd call it Mr. Smiley and friend!}
