I agree, wish they hadn't done that. But I don't recall Could you refresh my memory? He was in the pilot episode of The Original Series (which was dropped as it wasn't liked) and then in episodes 11 & 12 which was a two parter. "The Cage" and "The Menagerie" played by first Jeffery Hunt and Sean Kenney. If I'm right, he if who Spock served under for 11 years before moving to the 'Enterprise' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Menagerie_%28Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series%29

Is this aside from Sherlock? (which is my No. 1 obviously ). Doctor Who, Last Tango In Halifax, NCIS, True Detective, Hollow Crown (so excited for the next installment), Star Trek (all except Voyager)... These are all the ones I can remember right now! -
Loved it loved it loved it! (have I said that enough times) I'm a huuuuge trekkie and I'll admit that I was dubious about J.J. Abrams reimagining it. But if I was impressed with the first one then this one blew me away. Khan has always been a favourite ST character for me and I'm so happy they brought him back in these movies. And I also loved the way that they twisted it around at the end!!! Stunning!!! KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! *runs away*

I find Dickens hard going when I'm actually reading it. But when I get to the end I find I really enjoyed it haha. -

Oh, that! Yeah, I read that to give Hornby another chance, and because the summary on the book cover appealed to me. I'd stayed away from his works since I got really mad at what he did with the kid character in "About a Boy". I usually love a Hornby novel until the last few chapters, and then the ending disappoints me, and I go okay, now, where exactly was the point of this story? Did it get lost somewhere along the way? But A Long Ways Down I liked all the way through. I wonder whether the film is any good. Anyone seen it? I'm trying to stay away from the film. I always seem disappointed with film versions because I have a good imagination when I'm reading and the film tends to ruin the pictures in my head. That happened with the Harry Potter films BIG TIME! The only film so far that I've enjoyed after I read the book was perhaps Maurice! I agree with you with About a Boy. But that's the only other Hornby novel I've read -

Head canon, but he totally came up with Shezza by himself. He freakin' walked into that smack den and introduced himself as Shezza, and all the actual junkies went with it because he has just enough swagger to pull that off. Plus, what a wonderful setup for Mary just glancing into the rear view mirror and saying, "Seriously, Shezza, though?" I kind of want that as a GIF. Haha! I can see him coming up with it the same way he says 'laterz' at Buckingham Palace. Or 'blud'. But I can almost see him saying 'I'm...um...Shezza' with that confused/disgusted look on his face. The same one he gets when he talks about sentiment

After the bit where Janine asks Sherlock 'So, we're good then?' and he smiles and nods, I can now see her being someone that he would call up for a case. Like 'Janine! I need a sham date for this investigation, fancy a spot of dinner' and she'd go with it. I could see them being fun together but not in a relationship! I'm still waiting for Mary Russell to show up for that! *runs away*
