  1. In Hungary the dates are 12th and 19th December. I've already ordered and bought my tickets in August when they announced the screening dates. And I can't wait to see BC and JLM in this show. (I've just checked the website, the tickets are almost sold out although it's still 2 months to go...)
  2. Ladies and Gentlemen, the NEW HOBBIT TRAILER! Awww... with that voice!
  3. I've found the clip on Youtube you're looking for: Scandal in Belgravia - stolen ashtray Hope it helps.
  4. That's also what Sherlock claimed (in the scene outside the inn at the very end), but it sounded to me like he was grasping at straws there, thinking, "Well, it wasn't the sugar -- so it HAD to be something else!" But if it really was the leaky pipes, how come everyone who works in the lab wasn't violently paranoid due to their long-term exposure? If I remember correctly, when we first meet Dr Bob Frankland, he has a breathing mask on as he enters the lab. He takes off when he steps closer to Sherlock and John. So I'm pretty sure, aely is right: the drug was in the smoke coming from the leaky pipes.
  5. Sorry if it's been posted before, but this is my favourite Hobbit/Sherlock crossover.
  6. Caya is right: Vienna is about in the middle. The approx. distance between Budapest and Vienna in a straight line is 134 miles, Vienna and Prague is 156 miles. I've been to Vienna quite often, I really like the city and feel myself at home, maybe because our common history (see Austro-Hungarian Empire). The old buildings are built in the same style as in Budapest. I haven't been to Prague yet, but I'm planning to go next year. All of my friends have raved about it, it should be a really nice place. Carol, I think the distances in Europe are really small comparing to the States or other huge countries. I always giggle when I remember what my Brazilian friend said when I asked her whether she lived close to the Amazonas. "Yes, we live very close, it's only 3 days by coach."
  7. Thank you, Carol. I'm also glad to be here.
  8. It's settled then. I live in Prague so it's very good idea
  9. Maybe you are just too young for this! Time will come. Sooner, than you think. Thank you, Caya. Are you from Vienna? I'm from Budapest, so we live quite close to each other.
  10. Thank you for both of you! It seems to be a very nice community here.
  11. I think many fans share the same story: they just followed their favourite actors and found new fandoms. As I mentioned earlier I was already a Sherlock/ACD fan, but I didn't know about BBC Sherlock till the first Hobbit movie came out. And since then I'm also "Cumberbatched". He is such a brilliant, highly talented actor.
  12. Thank you for welcoming me, Bakerstreet Irregular. I can't remember whether I was first a Tolkien fan then became a Sherlock fan or vice versa, because it happened long-long time ago. I was a kid in the 80's when I watched Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and about the same time I've read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Since then I'm huge fan of both worlds.
  13. My favourite episode from the 1st series, mainly because it was the first time I met such a wonderful show with brilliant actors (and you never forget your first time, aren't you? ). But I still cannot figure out how Sherlock made that trick with the mobile phone texting at the police press conference? Everyone in that room got the text "wrong" on his/her mobile phone simultaneously. How on earth did he make it?
  14. I'm a massive Tolkien fan since my childhood, so whenever I want to register to a message board, I usually pick up a cool name from this fantasy world. Who is Earendil? You can take a look here: http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/e/earendil.html Oddly enough I've learned about BBC Sherlock from a Tolkien message board. Fellow forum members raved about it, so I decided to gave it a go. After the first 10 minutes I was hooked and became a fan of the series. My avatar picture is made by Nartemide from deviantart.
  15. Google search, 3rd hit in google.hu.
  16. I'm from Budapest, Hungary. I think the first Hungarian member who actually posts something.
  17. Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, decided that I'd finally get active. I'm from Hungary, so my mother tongue is not English, but please feel free to correct me if needed. ^_^ I hope I can contribute with meaningful thougths and I do not lower the IQ of the whole forum! (Just kidding. )
