Vote: Sherlock vs. Doctor Who

[Carol the Dabbler]

If you can bear to choose between the two, that is!

I was actually tempted to vote for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - the version with Alec Guiness as Smiley

Done and done.

Oh man, that's hard...

In the end, though...I went with Doctor Who...mainly because there's more to watch and it's been on much longer.  Sherlock is my 2nd, and Pride and Prejudice is my 3rd.

Downton Abbey doesn't even make my list.

Oh, dear me, please.

Doctor 11 versus Sherlock Holmes?

Sherlock Holmes.

I believe that the rage over the Eleventh Doctor is a bit annoying. I grew up with the classic series, as my father decided that at the age of three I was mature enough to watch and understand the first episode in which the Daleks appear, starring William Hartnell. Band-wagon-jumpers, a.k.a. Eleventh Doctor fans, are a sheer annoyance and deserved to be thrown from the nearest high building.

I AM SORRY FOR BEING AN A***, IT'S MY PERSONALITY. No really, I'm sorry. Thanks for pointing it out.

Was that rude again? Really, I'm SORRY! Forgive me, PLEASE!

Glad to know that, as I started watching Doctor Who with the 11th Doctor, and have since gone back and watched most of the series from the beginning.  Didn't think I was a bandwagoner, as I had no way of actually watching that until I got BBC America on my cable package, nor do I have any intention of jumping off anytime soon.  But I'll take your word for it and find the nearest high-building.

Alice Holmes & Bborchar:  Will one (or both) of you please edit a smiley into your preceding (presumably tongue-in-cheek) post, before the forum staff begins to fear that you're serious and calls the rescue squad?

Thank you!

[bborchar]

Don't worry...I don't have clearance to get to the top of the tallest building here anymore  Just illustrating that many US fans were introduced late to the show, and that even new fans can love it as much as old fans.

[Alice Holmes]

If you had clearance to get onto the roof area of the highest building in your area, I would be concerned. Mycroft Holmes would have joined the forum.
