Hello, Emerald, and welcome to Sherlock Forum!   :welcome:   And welcome back, Inspector!

I think you'll find a lot of people agreeing with you that Jeremy Brett is the definitive Victorian Holmes -- but that there are other versions worth investigating as well.  That's why there are sections of this forum (within the 221B Baker Street area) devoted to the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as to various adaptations of them, such as Brett's episodes and BBC's Sherlock.  Please make yourself at home in any threads that catch your fancy.  (Note: Some forums will scold you for posting in threads that are "too old," but we welcome new input!)  And if there's something you'd like to discuss but you don't see a thread for it, please feel free to start one.
