Continuing the OT elegy on winter weather . . .any of you Midwestern gals familiar with Charlie Berens?  The pride of Manitowac, Wisconsin is one of my pandemic YouTube discoveries.  Here he partners with fellow vlogger and sometime collaborator Dude Dad (Taylor)  for one of his funniest videos ever.  Head on over to Charlie's channel for more hilarity, including 'Midwestern Christmas Party', 'How to Make a Bloody Mary' and 'Midwest Translator' among others.

@Inspector Baynes -- thank you for a post that's actually on topic (for the first time in almost two years!

If you're looking for something to do, maybe you could write a brief description of each of those books -- what's in them, what they're particularly helpful for, whether they're better for reference or for reading, etc.?

I would be happy to over time.
Is there a particular thread for "Book Reviews"  already?  (I'll do a search).

If not maybe I'll start a new thread.  I'll figure out how to include images too, so a pic of the Book cover, and maybe the Table of Contents, can be seen.  (The Table of Contents is sometimes helpful for folks too.)

I wrote the information below in response to a failed attempt you had mentioned in a deleted post.  I see now that you had already gotten assistance from Caya in another thread, but I will leave this description in case someone else might find it useful.

You were on the right track, Inspector.  I've posted several images here from my Imgur account.  There are basically two methods:

1.  Go to Imgur and bring up the image on its own page.  In the list of options on the right, click "Direct Link."  Then go to the forum post that you're creating and paste in the link.  You'll immediately get a small image that will enlarge to full size whenever someone clicks on it in your post.

2.  In the list of options, click on "BB Code," then paste the result into the post you're creating.  You'll get a link that will turn into a full-size image once you submit your post.  (Note, however, that if the original image is small, its full size will still be small!)

Question:  Is the image you were trying in your Imgur account or someone else's?  I've never known this to matter, but there may be exceptions.

It is mine.  A "screen snip" of the book cover from my Kindle. Everything I post will be mine.
I'm too pesky about copyright issues to use other people's stuff.  (Unless I have written permission.)

re:  "Click on the BB code", thanks.  I usually prefer smaller images, but there are times the big one is better..!
