We suffered a shelf collapse, in a staffroom cupboard.

My Sherlock mug took a dive and smashed.

It has been replaced!

Were you able to get an identical mug?

What I've sometimes done when a treasured mug is chipped or broken (and repaired as well as possible) is use it for holding pencils, or put a small glass jar in it to use as a vase, etc.

Yeah I have one with a small chip, that I just use as an ornament.

But this Sherlock one(and from a while ago a Moriarty one that broke) I have replaced.

I never managed to get the lovely Moriarty one I lost.

But yeah, this Sherlock one is just the same.

Then there was another Moriarty one that I bought in London, from the 221B museum shop and it broke, before I even got it home!

Moriarty is a bit unreliable, isn't he!

Don't have one...

However, did I ever post on here my bust story?!(ooh er.)

I have Sherlock and John busts.

One year when my late husband and I were away on hol, the kids stayed home and decorated for us.

On attempting to re-hang a heavy picture, it fell from the wall and decapitated Sherlock.

John looked very smug, then!

Hubby did fix Sherlock, though I always suspect he is slightly looking down into his upturned collar!
