  1. Oh dear that was an awkward question at TIFF, but in true Benedict style he turned it around and spoke eloquently on the subject of the movie and the man and the work that the movie was about. There are questions that are just inappropriate and that was one. When we were lining up for the photos and autographs with Benedict back in April, we were told that we were to be polite and not ask inappropriate questions or propose marriage all of which I thought was hilarious, really it should go without saying, but it seems that some people need to be told. Kudos to Benedict in handling it like a professional. and one more thing I noticed the startings of the beard and moustache are gone .
  2. I was re-watching The Blind Banker a day or so ago and Sebastian says that he hasn't seen Sherlock for nearly 8 years since leaving Uni, now Sherlock only just moved into 221b the episode before, which we could say was a few weeks ago in the series. So where was he living before I wonder? With Mycroft?
  3. +9.30 GMT I'm only here really at night, so that would be early morning in UK and possibly the day before in USA
  4. I'm with you, so it makes you wonder why they introduced the character of Molly, it seems cruel to have someone hopelessly in love with someone that doesn't want a relationship.
  5. It works, great thanks so much.
  6. Being Martin's birthday I thought, I wonder has Martin ever sung a song? He has and it's lovely (of course). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD8ZAr3BAfE
  7. Perhaps it was one his mother wrote.
  8. I've looked and cannot find (except one mention that doesn't seem to work), so hopefully someone can enlightened me, how does one attach a link to youtube on here?
  9. This would be fun to wear when you are having tea with Benedict and Andrew, but you might need to lay down a lot of loot to get it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BENEDICT-CUMBERBATCHs-Signed-Worn-Spencer-Hart-Suit-Sherlock-Annos-Africa-/261582928459?roken=cUgayN I wonder at the person that buys it, what will they do with it?
  10. Like it- LOVE it. Steamboat Bill Jr, his last film made under his own production company, off he went to MGM and never recovered So whilst it is a great and very funny film it is tinged with sadness. My username is Convict 13 after one of Buster's films and it's also a nice little take on the belief that all Australians come from convict blood, mine do not we are German descendants.
  11. See this is what gets me annoyed, most fans of any TV series or movie etc buy the DVD's as they are released. They do not wait 1 1/2 years after the release on DVD to see if perhaps another better addition is to be released. Why not release the big best of at the very start along with a cheaper version. Doing it this way just reeks to me of trying to make money. PS... I own 9 difference versions of Buster Keaton's The General and love each and every one of them.
  12. It would mean that you were thin as in skinny. I would take that literally, as in I am thin. Does it mean something else? It's funny you should mention that I've been studying early Australia Literature this semester at Uni and the world Yarn? What do you think that means? Pants can mean both trousers and underpants, but we would really call underpants, undies.
  13. Just saw this on Facebook. "the official BBC Online Shop has launched in Australia and New Zealand. Free Delivery on your first order", Poor ABC shop http://www.bbcshop.com.au/page/search?q=sherlock
  14. A pet hate of mine is companies that release DVD's and then re-release same DVD but with added extras. Ladies and gentlemen See I'm so annoyed I placed this in the wrong place. http://www.sherlockology.com/news/2014/9/5/sherlock-s3-special-edition-050914 ' with all these added extras Extras include: - Never-seen-before outtakes from series two and three - An exclusive deleted scene from series three - Brand new audio commentary with Una Stubbs, Steven Moffat, Sue Vertue and Mark Gatiss - 3 x 45 minute documentaries, as seen on PBS in the USA, that include behind the-scene footage - 1x60 Unlocking Sherlock documentary - Sherlock - Many Happy Returns': the seven minute mini-episode previously only available online
  15. Oh dear, and again with Downtown Abbey, ah the man can't be prefect all the time. But he was funny.
  16. Yep I think you will have to stick to borrowing, and he mentions the winning of the Emmy in this as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjhCn4jgpH8
  17. http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Miniature-Sherlock-Holmes-book-printed/story-22863402-detail/story.html "It is a little-known tale written in 1922 in black ink over 24 pages, about how Dr Watson tries out his powers of deduction on Holmes - only to get things completely wrong"
  18. GQ Awards and Yeh for Benedict, collecting Actor of the Year, and is that the beginning of a moustache and beard I see?
  19. Trousers, and now I am imagining that too!
  20. Oh you have to be a UK resident, mmmm I'm married to a Englishman - think we might emigrate.
  21. Honestly could you think of a better way to spend a day? This would just be heaven! It WOULD be worth the cost of an airfare for me to the UK (and it's a LONG way away) http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/support-us/individual-memberships/young-patron-membership/win-the-chance-for-you-and-a-friend-to
  22. Doesn't John tuck his gun into his pants? I know he keeps tire levers down there too!
  23. I think that is a great idea, they could tie up so many lose ends doing that too, but I was hoping that The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle can be some of this Christmas special; I really enjoyed that story.
  24. Just an idea what about a pictures gallery for all these Sherlock Holmes related, maybe old movie posters, photos of Conan Doyle, etc etc. Just photos nothing else just so that we can sort of keep them all together? Like this sort of thing. But do you think we should also provide a link back to where we got it? Just an idea I don't think we have something like this do we? I couldn't find it. http://classicfilmaficionados.com/2014/09/01/the-adventures-of-sherlock-holmes-happy-anniversary-premiered-september-1-1939/
  25. Hello there, you are going to love it here, lots of BBC Sherlock and other versions all day every day.
