  1. She doesn't know if it's over. Only the BBC knows. It's just for now.
  2. That's the problem without a follow up scene in the show, there's no way of knowing if Sherlock decided he reciprocated. I'm sure the show left it ambiguous on purpose so you can infer anything you want. They don't have to decide what the resolution of that scene was unless there are future episodes. Personally, I think the only purpose of the ending scenes was to show all characters as happy in case it ends up being the series finale. Given that LB gave that goodbye Molly twitter post, I always thought those on the show are very unsure of there being more episodes. I'm actually annoyed the Molly scenes were so ambiguous because if there are no more shows, why not have made a definitive story decision regarding the two characters? The only actor to officially say goodbye was Abbington when she tweeted that it was a "golden wrap" meaning that she had done her last episode ever. It is unknown if the series will continue.
  3. I will say that I miissed seeing Donovan and Anderson in S4.
  4. Except that I think he meant it the second time. And the fact that she is big smiles and very happy when entering 221B as she heads towards where he was standing says a lot.
  5. I don't see Molly as being devastated after the call with Sherlock. Although the call was very unsettling, she did smile a bit when he first said ILY. Of course their conversation would have been cut off immediately after she said it. I would think she would be very curious what all that was really about.
  6. Ratings did not fall. They averaged 10 million views per episode. I will be buying the DVDs and the steelbook and the new set. Happily. :D
  7. Does anyone know if the music from this has ever been released? I can't find it on ITunes.
  8. Rough estimate of his age? Late 50's to mid 60s?
  9. I would kill every single one of you for a chance to see Sherlock episode in theatre. Any episode. Twice.Well, the killing is once, the watching is twice. The episodes hold up remarkably well on the big screen. Then too, it's always nice to have others around you who enjoy it as much as you do.
  10. This has some very interesting points. http://bassfanimation.tumblr.com/post/156069169901/the-final-problem-euruss-crash-therapy-session
  11. Completely quiet but confussed - not because of the plot but because they were waiting for something AFTER - but the Amanda thing came before.
  12. TAB was crowded in the theater both times I saw it, but TFP had maybe 20-30 people.
  13. Interesting interview with Moffat about TFP. http://www.vulture.com/2017/01/sherlock-showrunner-steven-moffat-the-final-problem.html?mid=facebook_nymag
  14. You known your obsession is bad when you use a gift certificate you got for Christmas to the local theater to see "The Final Problem." At first it was just me and an older guy sitting several rows behind me, and I greeted him with "Hello, Sherlockian!" We chatted briefly until others came into the theater, and then we returned to our own worlds.
  15. I don't think they dumped on Molly at all. She took control of that situation by asking Sherlock to say "I love you" first. Why would she ask him to say those words first? Because out of some unrequited love fantasy she just wanted him to say the words to her once? No. It was because she has always seen through his BS and would know if he was being sincere. And he was sincere the second time, which is why she finally said it in return. People will say that Molly isn't canon and they'd never do anything with her, but Eurus isn't canon and they did a ton with her. Molly isn't the last person on Sherlock's mind. As in TLD, he clearly had her in mind long before John thought he would. She didn't break up with Tom in HLV not to be completely available for something to happen in S4. And something DID happen. The only person in 13 episodes that he said "I love you" to was the one person who also said it in return. Yes, it was forced out of him, but the 2nd time he said it, he meant it. Eurus is just playing mind games with him at this point. Eurus, in fact, is finally playing with the brother she always wanted to play with, even if she is a total psychopath. Interesting side-note that I saw on Tumblr is that Eurus killed a child via drowning in her youth just as Moriarty killed the swimmer via drowning in his youth.
  16. Molly's house and where it was filmed. http://coffeewithsugarplease.tumblr.com/post/156041529916/mollys-house-i-found-where-they-filmed-it-and
  17. So I feel like I've been in a blissful bubble for the last three years - blissfully ignorant of what might happen in s4, but now that S4 has come and gone without any predictable hope of S5, the bubble is gone. I'd almost rather be back waiting for S4 again. It was a nice, comfortable place to be.
  18. A sneaky bit... https://twitter.com/Cumberchicken/status/821647907006939137
  19. Maybe this has been discussed. I don't know. I haven't read all the posts. I was a little surprised when John said frankly to Lestrade that Sherlock shot Magnussen in the face because I have always felt that Lestrade didn't know.
  20. The aquarium was not a set. They filmed on location.
  21. Just found this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErDSVHvwdP4
  22. Oh c'mon. What are they supposed to say? Mofftiss can't greenlight more episodes. Only the BBC can do that, and they for sure aren't going to do it until after the dust settles on S4. This type of baiting is just fake news. Maybe there will be, maybe there won't be, but just enjoy what we have now.
  23. Well we know nothing happened to John because he's in the trailers for TFP. I'm wondering if Sherlock arrived in the nick of time and fired the shot.
  24. It wasn't just John having conversations with Mary. Sherlock did too. Can we talk for a moment about the visual framing of this episode? How characters were often framed to one side or the other? Even in the Sherlock/Johm hug, it was on the left side of the screen, but the whole scene had shots like that, and so did lots of other scenes. Very stylistic.
