Oh, I used to be like that. Then I started having to regularly take my watch off for some reason, now I can't wear watches anymore because they annoy me

My iPhone. I get horribly twitchy if I leave it at home. Because it has my email and my social networks and all my friends in it This, of course, poses a problem when dressing up. Cos back in the days of corsets and petticoats, nobody thought of making a handy pocket for such an item, and I'm awful at carrying clutch bags. There is a very long list of other things I also need to take with me (anybody who's seen my day handbag can testify to that), but yeah number one is my iPhone...

So, yeah, my rant of the day? I watched the news. Big, big mistake, but I do quite often make it. What annoyed me today? The Church (any variation thereof) and their mania of using the pulpit to push their politics. As if they had never heard of the separation of State and Church. *big sigh* Notice that whether or not I agree with their politics is irrelevant for this argument: what bothers me is that they use a place of faith to discuss politics. That is what bothers me. I'm going to leave that rant there, cos I always end up unwittingly annoying/offending someone, and that's the last thing I want to do right now. Also, I think I need to get some sleep...

So, I've been resisting this, but I think we need a rant thread. So, yeah, rant ahead. Just remember, be polite about it. And try not to get the paintings on the wall when you shoot

All of it It's always interesting to find out that people I know are musically inclined. Also, the admission of being out of practice with some of the instruments you list made me smile in a "yay, I'm not the only one" way

I'm sure my fingers still remember how to play guitar. At least I hope they do... And I sing. There's a bodhrán upstairs, feeling very lonely, and I'm not too good at it. That's about it...

Harry Potter (all of them). The King's Speech.... Dune (read the books first, the movie makes sense if you know the story). Anything with Daniel Day Lewis in. Anything with Liam Neeson in. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Hunt for the Red October. Okay, let's keep it short and add "anything with Sean Connery after 1980-ish in it"... Star Trek. All of them. Classic and new. Particularly the ones with Spock.

Ahm... How long can I make the list? See, the thing with me is that "favourite bands" changes quite a lot from one day to the next. There are the bands/singers/songwriters that I always end up listening to again (Queen, U2, Ismael Serrano, Beatles). There are the genres/artists I always listen to (mostly soundtracks, cos they are good to work to, and Mike Oldfield). Then there are the bands that fit a specific mood (The Cure, Placebo). And then there are the bands I'm listening to at the moment (Mumford and sons, Blue Gillespie, Ghost of the Robot). And there there is the stuff I will not even admit I have on my iPhone. Which we shall not discuss.

Of course, it would be helpful if the uploader explained things like that when it fails... but it wouldn't be software if it weren't annoying when it fails! (I'm a software developer, I'm allowed to badmouth software!)

I sense a tumbler in my future. As if I didn't already have enough problems crossposting across my knitting blogs, my fandom LJ and Dreamwidth, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ LOL

All efforts to promote the forum much appreciated!

Discussions are indeed fun. I love it when other people mention something and I get this "oh, gosh, how did I miss that?" moment, and then my brain just go into overdrive with theories and... Yeah, well, you get the picture

Having recently acquired the soundtrack for S1 and S2, I'm very tempted by that as well. It's a very cleverly done soundtrack, and it'd be quite intriguing to hear about how it came to be...
